Team Europe has fantastic shooters and I enjoy watching them, they are great!
Team USA not as good with the current format.
But, you guys got kicked in the butt and left America.
When you turned your back on Israel for oil money you ceased being a world power.
Would a Team England, Team Germany, Team France, Team Sweden, .etc. beat Team USA, I doubt it.
So, you cherry pick from all over Europe for a team.
You guys got so tired of Team USA beating your butt you had to change the rack and rack the 9 on the spot before you could win.
Put the 9 back where it belongs when you play in America and see how that goes.
Please don't act like your invincible on a level playing field.
If you think you are try playing a Team Asia with the same format.
I know who I would bet on.
It is named after an American player, gotta love that boys!
But, individually, they are for the most part, true professionals and a joy to watch!

New York bigger than England??? Get your facts straight!
The format is there because someone made it successful. And it orginates in a time where the US could take all of Europe and win. Probably not so anymore. We will see.
Still enjoy watching it.
New York (US) (141,299 km²) is 1.08 times as big as England (130,400 km²).
Might be my english. I thought population, because people compete and not cows.
Would have been interesting (and boring) to see new mexico compete with germany (which has a simmelar size but vastly different number of inhabitants 2:80)
UK team: Appleton, Shaw and Gray are already there, add in Boyes and Melling and I'd pick them over this USA team.
There are maybe 300 9-ball players in the UK. It's hard to describe how niche of a game American pool is over here.
What's the deal bashing Europeans? Aren't we their descendants? Everyone here has European in them, ..........but what do I know.
Yeah yeah!! Not fair blah blah!!
There are more pool players in the USA than in Europe by a country mile. Not our fault that ya'll just aren't very good.
And please, don't comment about Brexit, unless you know the difference between the EU and Europe.
OK, I am off to pick my nose![]()
They are better then us. Their teams always look like a "Who's Who" of the pool world.
Other then Shane who on our team is a top world player? Maybe Rodney?
But, we have more guns and we will keep them!

Sad thread, we play bad, soooooooooooo, let's make fun of Europeans if we can't beat them. Really?
Brexit is not about GB leaving Europe. It is about them leaving the EU. There have been non EU players in the European Mosconi cup team before. If you really want me to, I will go look them up (again).Yes, Brexit should change the complexion of the Mosconi Cup, I would think!..Maybe a completely new order of competition should be considered?..
For the last several years, it has been heavily loaded against the U.S.!..Perhaps a radical change should be put in place.
