Wedding Band Rings

So I got engaged at the BCA this past week and I was thinking it would be pretty cool to get a new cue that would have rings that match my undetermined wedding band.

Is this a strange request?
Is it possible?
Is there some sort of issue with the metal popping out?
Does anybody have any experience doing this?
Is it better to get the ring then try to get the stick made like the ring?
Pictures?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You should put this in the "Ask the cuemaker" section.
Probably get much better and more knowledgeable responses.

I think this is pretty cool! I hope it can be done - then show us pics! Does your wife play, too?

Koop's right. And since I've been married three times you still better wait for more knowledgeable responses. Good luck to ya. :)

First off congrats and good luck!

I would imagine someone can do it.

Congrats on the engagement.

I would rather have my ring on my cue because I sure cannot wear it when I play. Same with golf. Jewelry genuinely buggs me, can't stand it!

I saw a Bender once upon a time with a hammered gold ring in it. It was the first time I ever wanted to drop $2500 on a cue. I could not take my eyes off that cue.

Rings

I did post it on the ask a cue maker. But didn't get a response.
I already bought my girlfriend, who doesn't play pool, a ring and gave it to her. Now I need to get a ring for myself.

I just want a nice ring that they could match on the butt of the cue.
Not one that actually slips off the butt. That would more than likely suck and leave me with a cue that reminds me of the super sweet stick your uncle once had that had the removable weights that he got from Kmart.

Guys have to spend thousand upon thousands for a wedding ring for the right woman. Then when you actually get around to the wedding day you have to have another ring that cost thousands. The guys end up with a $200 ring. So why can't I end up with a nice cue that matches my ring for thousands less than hers?

Maybe I'll start a trend.

Expanding on Neil's train of thought...if you haven't mastered the ability to enthusiastically say:

You: "That's great! You saved $100!!!"

....when she says...

Her: "I had a great day today. I slept 'til 10, went to lunch with Ann, watched soaps all afternoon, and then went shopping. And guess what...I found five $100 dresses...20% off!!! By the way, I forgot to cook supper."

...you're not ready to broach this topic with her.

a happy wife is a happy life...errr fiance' in this case...

I like your thinking... equal bling :) Check out Richard Chudy's cues RC3.com I believe is his website. I've seen some of his work that includes rings that resemble wedding rings.

Good Luck. Getting Married is the first step into a long journey. Many have traveled on this journey, it will change the person you are now into someone else with faint memories that resemble your past. Remember this free advice. When in doubt about what to say, keep your mouth shut and just agree with her. When you are absolutely sure you are right and you need her to know, Keep your mouth shut and just agree with her. You will thank me later, or wish you had paid attention :)

Good Luck,

Well, what do you know??!! Chudy has a cue called the "The Wedding Cue". The format of his website won't allow me to link to it...

Thats exactly what Im talking about. Thanks for the help guys. Pretty cool.
I wonder how hard it was to add those rings to the butt. Thanks for all the warm wishes as well.

Thanks for the advice. I've always tried to live by the golden rule. If mama aint happy aint nobody happy.

Has anybody seen any other examples?
