working on a dufferin conversion
dimensions and customers request dictated that the duff logo had to stay
and i have to add buttcap of hoppe ring and natural ONTO the end of cue to add length
i usually bore the back end of these .750ish and havent hit the logo sticker
this instance i was smaller at .675"
and took out the bottom of the duff logo sticker
it was unusually deep into the cue , obvious now
i think i'll inlay an indian head penny here
if he isnt ok with that, i'll be on the search for another dufferin

note to self > from now on, dont go bigger than .625"

Is there a problem with gluing the inset back in or am I missing something?

I think I have a dufferin blank I can salvage the logo from if you want to try!

Send me your address

Brent I have an old handle here that I can cut the butt with the logo off from if you want to dig it out. Let me know. Maybe I will swap with the penny. Just kidding. Its yours if you want it.

Jim.

Yep, I thought it was a finger tip too  Congrats on keeping all 10 pinchers  Merry Christmas

I have always just made a maple butt sleve long enough to cover the Dufferin logo. I think it looks more like a custom cue like that. Also that eliminates the problem you just experienced.

i normally do too
i tried to talk him into that
but he didn't want ANYTHING added to the butt,
except the hoppe ring and cap and the cue is too short, as i said due to the dimensions/diameters of the blank for me to cut up over the logo
had i cut the logo off, and then cut approx 29 up, the diameter was about .830

IS there any way to get a small Dufferin sticker made to replace that one? It would be nice to put your own label in as BHQ. Just an idea.
