As if I need to ask ................

I checked back in to see what was up with the 14.1 Euro thread and I saw that it was locked.....wonder how that came to be :(

SO I will pose the same question as my last post in that thread.

If there was a chance for the Euro players..maybe even just the Germans... to match up against a team form any country and/or region, would you bet against them in a 14.1 format?

Let me think about this... they have

Engert
Ortmann
Hohmann
Souquet
Jentsch

Hmmmm.

Bring a pillow. Somebody's in for a LONG night.

Dominic Jentsch, Thomas Luttich, Nicolas Ottermann, Nico Wehner to name the 4 great that comes to mind..

I would still bet on those germans

Ummm, I thought the age limit was 25. That would certainly put the US out of contention, and possibly the Filipinos, although they have a deep stable too.

Shoot, the European group could even include Jasmin since she is under 25, and still have more depth. Actually, it SHOULD include Jasmin, LOL.

If you see post nr 2 from smokeandapancak he said "what if the age limit is 25".

I named 4 great german players under the age of 25. 3 of them actually under 20.

And if some would say female are not allowed Europe could toss in Jasmin's younger brother Albin Ouschan Jr (19), or even better, my favourite young player from Europe:
Artem Koshovyy (18) from Ukraine, who has made impressing 185 with his right hand and 169 twice with his left hand. THAT's straightpool!!!

Artem has been coached by Jorgen Sandman from he was just a kid, when Jorgen was Professor in Sports at a University in Kiev, Ukraine.

Artem was forced to practise minimum one week a month with his lefthand, and he even played tournaments with his left hand if it was in his "leftie-week". :)

Artem finished 2nd in a big 8-ball tournament I organized in Oslo, he lost barely to Niels Feijen in the final, after beating players as Marcus Chamat, Nick van Den Berg earlier in the week, and Ralf Souquet in the semifinal, to name a few...

WOW, what happened?

Did that other thread go nuclear?

DAMN, and i had such good stuff ready too.:D

Oh well.

I'll bet on the Germans, age limit or no age limit.
They have the system in place to make for future champions.

The U.S. does not.

Having said that, i'm going to go drop the top and drive that car with the GERMAN badge on it to get some groceries.

Who do i have to thank for that.....um. uh, um.....uh.

Gimme an H!!!!!......

Missed that -Nevermind

I threw that age limit out there just prove that the statement of Euro dominance over the next 10 years was really justified...

These cats play serious straight pool...even at the JR levels...

we are trying to set up a game in that direction: Niels, Nick and me versus 3 Deutschlanders. it's still long ways, but when things progress we'll keep you posted. we have a backer and i'll b seeing everyone at the Eurotour in Weert next week.

This should be interesting.Dutch`s are not much weaker then the Germans.Except by names maybe. But the funniest thing is that the Eu champion is a Croatian guy:grin:
