There are hundreds of players that paid the 2000 and 1000 dollar entry fees to be able to qualify for IPT 2007 tour card and tournaments. now that the tour has most likely fell apart, I think every single player (win or lose) should be entitled to get every penny back that they put into the qualifiers. Cuz if you think about, what were they tryin to qualify for?
Im a victim too, I qualified for the 2007 IPT tour card qualifier which was supposed to be in chicago but never happened. They owe me 2,000 + dollars and im pissed!

I totaly agree with you, however, short of a law suit, which will cost you more money and I doubt it will help, I am sorry.

.........on the other hand IPT have already promised to refund the entry fees to you and all other entrants to the pre-qualifiers for the qualifier, if the 2007 tour doesn't happen and they seem to be still trying to meet their similar promises to others, so there must still be some hope that you will get at least some of it back eventually, without any legal action.

They've paid 55% to Reno prizewinners so far, but it just seems plain wrong and very brass-necked that in the course of doing that they have effectively used your 2k towards paying the prizewinners their instalments of 5 x 11% = 55%, whilst not paying any instalments at all to you.

What you are saying is that the players are getting all the meatballs.
Another solution is that the players could pass the hat and each put a few thou in for their less fortunate brethren.
I will hold the hat!

Technically until January 1st 2008 Mr. Trudeau can keep hanging onto the promise of holding 2007 season events in which the qualified players could play.

Until then I suspect we will hear absolutely nothing about qualifier fee refunds.

I thought Cue Dude and Rackem girl was in charge of this stuff, whats it doing on the forum.

You guys trying to send out a message to someone. Because its not obvious enough...;)

Unfortunately even after January 1st 2008, theoretically IPT could say that the events which will take place in 2008 will still constitute the postponed and amended 2007 tour. There is already a loosely equivalent track record of IPT taking such a position because at one stage last year IPT said that at least one 2006 tour event would be "rescheduled" for the first quarter of 2007 but would still form part of the 2006 tour for rankings etc. Don't you remember the infamous "cancelled" versus "postponed" discussions and how IPT got all huffy and on their high horse about how could anyone DARE suggest that "postponed" in this case actually meant "cancelled"?;)

However they might on the other hand say that all those who won a pre-qualifying event for the 2006 end of season final qualifier will get a confirmed place straight into a final qualifying event for "x" places on a new improved scaled down tour (2008?) and all those who played in one of those 2006 pre-qualifying events but didn't win it will, instead of a refund, get a free place in the new round of pre-qualifying tournaments which will be held for the balance of available cards for the new tour (after they've decided and whittled down the number of existing card holders that they will retain and decided the total number of tour card holders there will be). These players with free entries would then participate, if they wanted to, in pre-qualifying events along with dozens/hundreds more aspiring tour members who, make no mistake, WOULD enter and pay entry fees.

Move over Nostradamus, getting crowded round here:)

The IPT

Just received confirmation from reliable sources that the "postponed" events from the 2006 season will definitely be played in 2009, with dates and locations soon to be announced. And all 2007 events will be played in 2010, and all guaranteed money (100K per player) will be paid at that time.

Any players who played in Qualifiers are guaranteed a spot in one of the 2010 tournaments. And the final event of the year will for the World Championship of The Known Universe. The purse will be $10,000,000 with the winner getting a cool $2,500,000!

And best of all, a new round of Qualifiers is set to begin soon. You too can be a part of the IPT. The new Qualifiers will feature low entry fees (only $1,000) and more chances for players to qualify (four spots per event). Too good to be true isn't it.

So get your cues out of mothballs now, and begin practicing for the all new IPT "One More Time" Tour. Remember, the next big event is only a year and a half away. By then, every dollar from the earlier 2006 tournaments will have been paid in full. It doesn't get any better than that, does it?

I believe I stated it best here - Post from October 2005.
At the time I was laughed at and ridiculed and called a negative a$$hole. Foresight is not an exact science, but hindsight is. FWIW, through all of that I never doubted that at some point I would be reading posts such as yours.

Kevin Trudeau would tell you "Tough $hit." He's classy like that.

The best way to deal with the IPT is to never give them another dime of your money. That will solve the problem. That would send a bigger message to KT than any lawsuit could.
