What about having a barter only section in the for sale area?

People offer barter objects in the For Sale section on a pretty regular basis. Usually laptop computers, cell phones, etc. Not sure if any of them are successful, but there doesn't appear to be any rules against it.

IMHO there was no need to sub-section the Wanted/ForSale forum. Buyers and sellers are usually the same people. Why make them go to two different forums?

There's no rule to offer Non-Pool Related Items for Pool Related Items, but there is a rule saying that you cannot create a thread selling or trading Non-Pool Related Items.

So no threads for your power washer, boots, or goats.

My apologies. I assumed at least one side of the barter transaction would be pool-related.

If some guy has a Szamboti for trade. I can offer him my goats (somebody mentioned goats). He can accept or decline.

However, I can't make a thread to sell or trade my goats. Even if I want to trade them for a Szamgoati.

Personally I would love it if at least oneside of the offer was pool related. I'm just afraid it would turn into I'll trade my car for a truck craigslist type area.

A Barter Forum could end up being fun.

One man's junk is another's treasure, thats fer sure. A person could find older, hard to find items that they have been looking for.

Someone might collect knives, coins, anything really, and have a billiard related piece to trade.

Nothing wrong with giving things a try out. If it works, great. If it doesn't at least you tried.

Nothing lost really.

If I had some Goatses, I could make Feta Cheese.

Sounds Like a Good Idea

I agree a Barter Section would be Good.

I like Hot Dogs.............................:)

See you at the new California Billiard Club when it opens in Fremont Ca, BarneyCalip
