a cue from that cuemaker in Colorado, that is well known. He spears most of his cues, and only veneers his top 2 or 3 cues.

Stop it Jude. You don't know for sure it was another cue. It could just as easily have been a different one, and some reports of her early career have Allison herself saying she was using a new cue, with no mention of the other one. We just don't know.

We do know that when she first came over the other women thought she was from another planet, but over a period of time she was able to explain the concept of there being other countries.

you cant play pool with a snooker cue very good, and you cant play snooker with a regular cue very good either, both games reqiire a different cue. Sure they are interchangable to bang balls around but to play at a high level forget it-you must have the proper cue for the proper game. there is alot of difference between the cues, shaft wood, diameter, length, taper. etc. She probably figured that out in 2 nights of play. the best snooker cue in the world with a 8 or 9mm tip is worse that the cheapest american cue for our pool, and a Bushka is junk on a 6X12' snooker table.

I surely would have liked to have ran across someone like you with your money, willingness to bet, and convictions when I was playing pool with a 12 ounce snooker cue in the early eighties. Seven foot to snooker table, that stick would walk and talk. I have yet to find any of the new miracle shafts or wonder layered tips that gave the cue ball control that a ten dollar stick and a milk dud did. Nothing I played with prior to that did either. I figured I could grab another anytime and let it get away from me when I quit playing for awhile. My bad, I'll pay considerable more than ten bucks for another if I run across one, . . . and I'll play pool with it. I do think the tip was around a ten or eleven but I have slept since then.
