What playing cue weight do you prefer? If you like the weight inbetween, i.e. you perfer 18.6 oz or something like that, just round it off.

Interesting poll. Looking forward to the results. Assume you mean playing cue, not breaking cue.

I started out at the opposite end. I grew up playing with 22oz+ I had a Joss that was in the neighborhood of 23.5-24oz. But as time went on, I found it was better for me to play with lighter cues. The cues I shoot with now are in the 19-19.5oz range. Easier on my arm and shoulder too.

Playing on todays avg equipment, (9 footers & simonis) I like 19 oz. The slower the cloth, the heavier the cue.

balance is important, too, but anything 19.3 to 19.7 works for me.

19.5 will probably be the winner of this poll. just a prediction. :)

My playing cue is 17.9 oz, and my breaking cue is 18.4 oz. I built both of them to my taper specifications.

Both cues are also wrappless.

Shaft Diameter: 12.90 mm playing cue - 13.75 mm Jump Break cue.

I like a lil heavier cue for me......around 20 oz. I agree with the prediction that 19.5 will be the most popular weight.

Thanks for the poll cuetech. For my playing cue I prefer as close to 19.0 oz as possible with balance point between 18.5 and 19 inches from the buttplate. That's where the magic is for me--especially on Simonis type cloth.
