Yeah..yeah..yeah...you whipped this young punk (for once LOL). But it was pure torture..LOL!

I hated it worse when you would say, "It's just a game man." when I would call out the score in utter agony after each game (unless I won). What was the final...7-4. I hate to admit it. I got destroyed at one hole by D.PURRRRRRDY. It was all worth it though, because I got to see your honey bunny Susan again. What a sweetheart! The birthday beer wasn't bad either!

Oh yeah...I'm loving the case Don. Best gift I received on my b-day. You da' man! Yep...beautiful Instroke Cowboy 3B/5S, only filled up with a broke down ol' Bob Frey Sneaky pete w/ Predator shaft. Doesn't hurt that it is autographed by Parica either. :)

Next time we are playing 9 ball....One pocket is for you old coots!
 
Driverdude, although you cross the line every now and then and have an occasional tendency to take threads already off-topic even further off-topic, I'd have to call you one of my personal favorites on the forum.

When you choose to, you make extremely logical and informed posts and have often shown the capacity to have a serious and respectful exchange with other posters. I find you particularly insightful on comparisons between pool and other sports and games, and you seem to be at your very best when pool is compared to golf. You also seem to have a keen sense of the history of pool and the history of many other sports and games.

You post with a lot of personality, and seem to enjoy frivolous excahnges with other posters. I'm fine with that.

Just like you, Driverdude, I have my faults, but you've never been less than courteous and respectful toward me on the forum. I really like having you around, and would hate to see you suppress your personality on the forum. Not-so-serious guys that know and love pool like yourself are needed for balance on a forum that has its fair share of pool-supergeeks like me.

Stick around, my friend. It's great having you here, and I look forward to more of your jocular, exuberant style.

I have been at the butt end of your attacks and you have been at mine. Yes, you are the better attacker. No matter what though I have always thought the majority of your post are haliarious...even when I am at the butt of them and I really enjoy debating with you. You keep things interesting.

I do think some people may need a thick skin to deal with you and there are obviously some people on here who have translucent skin. There are some people on her who take the internet WAY TO SERIOUSLY. If it doesn't affect your personal life people, then WHO CARES?!?!

As far as you go Drivermaker, you are Ok in my book. I want you to stay and continue on as you have been. I wouldn't change a thing. I only know of one person on here who should be a bit PO'd at you...and that is just because the things you say may or may not affect his business life. But then again, if it is called for it is called for. But I also believe that people can make their own decissions about something.

I just have one request though....can we bring back the Drivermaker poems??? :confused:
 
I personally think this forum would go down the big swirly river to browntown if you were not a part of the discussions. Granted, some people get the raw ass by your comments, but I would imagine it is not the first time their ass has been raw. And yes for all of you that might be pondering the rectal reference it was a quip directed at our resident angel.

And for those of you wondering, I will say this again: I am not the reason DM started this thread! Yeah, I know most of his hatred is directed towards me, it seems, but I've come to expect it, and certainly don't expect him to change.

FWIW, I don't think you should leave. It's our differences of opinions that keeps this forum going, and it's a way for us to learn from each other and promote our sport... and remember, the latter is something we all have in mind! No group, especially one this large and ongoing, is without its faults. What other sport has the novice, the experienced, and even professionals all sharing their personal thoughts and tips on the game? And the stories told are those of legends! I wouldn't change anything about our forum, not even Drivermaker.

DM, you're one hell of a cyber-personality. A Cyber-Rock Star in my books. Very informative as well as entertaining in my opinion. As one being popular, there will be people who'll dislike you and your banter. But thats life, you can't please everyone, but you can entertain the majority.

I may not agree with all you say, but I like your post and read them. Hell I read AzB everyday. :)
 
FWIW, I have never made any complaints to Mike about Drivermaker. We have had our "disagreements" but I will take my share of the blame for them. I am probably one of the people on this forum who could be a little thicker skinned and learn not to take him so seriously. Love him or hate him, he is definitely the straw that stirs the drink.

DM, i like the way you are, i love to read everything you write, interesting, funny, and informative. I seen that blackjack quit posting cause of people getting into fights and having flame wars or whatever, but me i always love a good arguement or debate. Cole 'TheConArtist'

You're a pompous prick. The ego it must take to create a post like this. To pose as some sort of forum yogi.

That being said, I have honestly enjoyed the arguments I've had with you. I really wish they were more frequent. I don't get to post as much as I like. To compose and type a proper post can sometimes be too much to squeeze in. But I read the forum regularly, and often laugh at some of your more eloquent posts. And yes, I have read valuable tidbits of pool knowledge in between the lines of many a long-winded drivermaker rant. Whether you realize it or not, we'd probably get along quite well on the outside. But you and I know that will never happen. So I say keep it up just as you have always done, and later I'll drink a Budweiser for ya.

BTW - VAP posting DIRECTLY behind most of your posts reminds me of Spike and Chester from the old Looney Toons. Remember "Spike...Spike you want we should beat up a cat Spike?"

Well, I'm new here and took some time to read back through some of DM's posts before I commented. Hell, I'm glad he's around! Speaks his mind and it seems the only ones really upset are the ones that don't have the tools or wit to battle well with him.

Personally, I've enjoyed what I've read so far... but then again, I haven't been at the far end of the firing range yet, either! :)

Lately, DM, you've been wasting time with stupid, childish posting, imho. Who needs that? I don't, so whatever you're in trouble for, I must've missed it, and am glad I did.
