What do you do with old pool balls ?

.22-250 !!????

I thought my old man was the only person that had one of those. After years of not being able to find rounds, my brother and I stumbled upon a bag of 100 shells at a mom & pop bait and tackle shot. We dug out the old mans notes for reloading and as they say "went to town". What a fun gun to shoot.

You must be mistaking the .22-250 for another round. The .22-250 is a very common round used for varmint hunting. You can easily find the ammo (at least here in Texas you can) at ANY Academy Sports & Outdoors store. It IS a fun gun to shoot!!!

The donation idea to B&G's Club idea is better, and it helps a LOT of kids.

Whenever possible I donate old (PLAYABLE) cues and balls to the kids clubs / rec centers but please understand, these balls are NOT PLAYABLE. Most of them have chips too deep to even be considered fun to play with.

I always donate good stuff not junk because I want any new players experience with the game to be enjoyable....

maybe in bigger cities they do, but not everywhere.

I have a few old sets of balls I've been finding uses for too. Made some doorknobs out of a few, put some on the bottom of the legs of my barstools, made a tap handle for the keg with one (and an old house cue), attached one to the end of a shortie stick so my son can bang balls around the table when he gets a little older without damaging my cloth.

just use your imagination, theres tons of neat stuff you can do.

Wow, those are all good ites. I especially like the doorknobs, and keg tap handle.

Do you have any pics of the doorknobs?

Is this the same as a 22 jet magnum. An old buddy of mine had what he called a S&W 22 jet magnum. He described it as a 357 chambered down to 22 cal. We took it out plinking a few times. It was a wicked handgun.

what do you think can be done with them. What would you do ?[/QUOTE]

In my day, the cue ball and the eight ball were highly sought after to attach to the shifter on four on the floor hot rods

I'd contact dabarbr and go into business making these..........

I knew a guy that would shove them up is behind and have someone put a quarter in his mouth. He would swallow the quarter and shoot a ball out of his butt. Kinda like a gumball machine.

I know a guy who makes phenolic hats......phenolic armor.....phenolic condoms.....the guy is crazy for phenolic.....

On a serious note, if I ever get a pool room, I'd love to get some old, worn out cues, balls, and so forth to make a little wall art....

I dont think you guys ever heard of the .17 smaller but more powerful...
ever shot with it? birds explode, squirrils in half , 2-3 inches in dears....

The old hornet and bee were great. Although the Bee was a 218.

Actually there is a new 17 cal out for the military.

Mount all the balls on a manequin, and create pool ball man. Then try convincing your wife it looks good in the living room!!!
