I think that Keith McCready has been playing pool for so long that the beer he drinks does not affect his game in a negitive way.
I am sure he knows what his limit is and uses beer to help relax and calm himself. After all ... He is playing with the best pool players in the world and he is smart enough to know he needs every skill he has.
I guess it really depends upon your personal make up as to how you shoot after a few beers. I like the relaxed feeling I get from a drink or two and it helps me to focus on the shot and not be so uptight about the game.
I think it helps relax and smooth my stroke and that is a good thing.
Then again the drinks might just be fooling me into thinking I am doing better.

Anyhow ... I dont play for money very often and the beer makes pool and the social interaction with my pool playing friends more enjoyable.
If winning is not the bottom line ... set e'm up.
