Its a cheap cue with some kind of cheap leather tip. I used Tweetens 10 minute cement & the tip flew off the next day on a few breaks. I used Duco Cement next & the tip flew off again. I would like some readily available glue you can get at the hardware store or walmart. Thanks!

I sand the ferrule down with 600b wet/dry sandpaper...its level. I get off the old glue until its clean & flat. I use a very coarse sandpaper on the back of the tip so it has small grooves in it. I clean both with 91% alcohol & let dry for awhile. I apply enough glue until it comes out some on the ferrule on all sides. The ferrule has tape on it to keep the glue off. I center the tip & put the Tweetens tip tool on it & stretch the rubber band as far as it can go. I leave it set overnight. The next day the tips fly off after about 10 hard hits.
all that "cement" glue for tip repair is GARBAGE!!!!

those are the best....the 454 is tried and true for over a decade by many of us here with no problems....the other two are newer but are great also

454 is the best.
It is probably the most expensive.
The only bad thing about 454 is, if someone tries to remove the tip with a Robogrip, they might break the ferrule's face.
It is that strong.
Just started repair, but I agree that the locktite super gel seems to work great

Can't seem to find the 454 here Joey so have been using the Gel and Gel with rubber lately.
I find using the Gel, I have a couple of extra seconds for tip placement/adjustment, in case my aim is off.

I'm not a cue maker or repairman. But CA (cyanoacrilyte, super glue) I know. But products made by Bob Smith or ZAP are of the finest quality. I have heard that Mercury adhesives aren't too bad. Jet isn't too bad but not as good as the first 2. Satellite City is also supposed to be good. I've never used it. I have used Jet, Bob Smith and ZAP. Of them all Zap is the best.
Hobby shops sell all of the above. I like to build RC aircraft. Never had a joint failure with any of the 3 above. Just my observations on using a pile of CA.
