What is wrong with this shot ?

since this was yesterday...it has probably already been answered...The CB was in a different spot when Efren shoots...in other words it became a "set shot"

Get it???........ "set" (as in on the movie set) shot.

It happened a few time in the movie TCOM as well.

If what I was watching was what I believe to be a game of 8-ball, both players struck the 8-ball first on their inning. One of the two failed to first hit the remaining object ball that was on the table.

If it was a game of 1-pocket, then GREAT shot!!!

EDIT: I just watched it again and I see that the cue ball mysteriously moved up the rail about 20 inches between where Efren shot it from and where his opponent left it.

Maybe the game was played in a different country where a pushout was allowed in the middle of a game :D :D :D

It's not a zig-zag shot.

Mosconi did it earlier, allegedly to win a championship. There is a clip in which Mosconi (and Ponzi?) reenact the shot.

As a trick shot, the standard position is from the corner hook, and the problem is usually that the cue ball comes in short. In the clip, the cue ball was moved to a shorter position so the table must have been playing fairly long.

Yep, this is not a zig-zag shot. There is another video where Efren does win a game against Earl with the Zig-zag shot. I believe Earl even enjoyed the shot.
