I am still vacillating about replacing my old pooped our Porper 2 x4 that has served me will 10 years almost, and was wondering if I should go with a 2 x 4, 3 x 5, or 3 x6, and what seem to be the most popular Case Brand.
What is your everyday Cue Case? Configuration, and Brand?

I would first decide on a budget. Then try to look at examples of the cases in that range.With a case it really depends on your needs. How many cues do you carry? Carry alot of accessories? Then you may want something with bigger pockets.Hope this helps.

Got my case from Castilloleathergoods.com. The owners name is Gil Castillo and his cases arent that trendy but for the money high quality hand made. They are soft cases so they don't offer the same protection. I believe he is working on a hard case tho.
Paid him a little extra to burn my logo in the case. My logo is basically 20inches long and all my pool buddies make fun of me. THats the price you pay ot have a one of kind case I guess. Does anyone own a cuetec case, the instroke look alikes. To me these look nice and at a fair price.

Cue Cases

There are so many different cases available. Usually one can get by with 2x4 and a long pocket for a jump cue (butt). Since you presently have a case, you may want to wait and go to the Derby Classic at Louisville, Ky in early January to help in your decision. Or go to Allen Hopkins show in March.
I presently own:
One Fellini 1x2 black leather/mint
One Centennial 1X2 brown leather
One Justis 2x4 Prolite brown lizard
One Justis 2X4 brown leather/suede and soon to be up for sale

I have a Vittore Case which looks like the Instrokes ! I got a great deal on it several years ago and for the money it can't be beat but after reading this I took a look at the Justis website and am thinking about ordering their 3 cue case it is really impressive, now that I am retired and have some extra bucks and some very expensive Cues ! it seems like the way to go! Thanks for the post!

and write the most important things about a case to yu. Then prioritize
them. Looks, Uniqueness, Convenience, ample space, absolutely good pockets, jump butt pocket, room for the little things you like to keep seperate, chalk pocket, handle, padded shoulder strap, materials used,
how long I plan to keep, do I like to get new cases every few years.
For me, Convenience of the case is important. I hate to struggle with a case in some way, it must fit my style. Case is too heavy, can not grab
the butt and shaft easily, pockets are not convenient, pockets are too stiff, things are not easy to get too, things like business cards, small notebook & pens, sandpaper are not easily stored, unpadded shoulder strap.
Decide on a price range. Most things can be found in a case at different price ranges if you look hard enough, but you might have to compromise on a few things with the less money you spend on it. But, then, a lower priced case can be dressed up a little with some imagination to make it
more unique to your tastes. For example, I bought an inexpensive Action
Elite ELN 3 x 5, but had all the features that were important to me. I then had a colorful patch made with 'Snapshot' on it, and super glued it
to the bottom of the little pocket. I have a color coded metal ID tag with the patch attached to the zipper of my long pocket. Sometimes, little ideas have big rewards.
Of course, if you opt for a more expensive case, you can include your ideas in the case when the casemaker makes it.

Porper for everyday, but only when I was going to the local room a lot more. I have a Whitten 2x4, black alligator, that I don't take there. I don't go to the local room hardly at all any more, HUGE disapointment. I could put my cues back in the Whitten, but haven't got around to it, yet. These two will do, for the time being.

I use an Instroke 2x4 case that I have had for oh..10+ years. I really haven't seen another Instroke like it.
