What is your favorite drink when you play pool?

mountain dew, or water. NEVER, well almost never any alchol, here is why:
no booze until after i'm done playing, i like moonshine the best, I cant make a ball when I drink it, but on the rare occasion I like it. Somehow I ended up playing races to 6 for $7,000 after I was drinking that shit, I never ran 3 balls in a row(in 7 hours)-Scooter talked me into playing. LOL, That was not the smartest thing I have done playing pool, the shine being the bad move, not Scooter(he played good). The bet started with one game for $3500 that John Mars got me into-Kinda LOL, that was turned into a race to 3-I lost. Then Scooter gets involved we start a partners game at $5,000 races to 6, somehow it got to $7,000. I ended up losing around $5,000, but it should have been more the way I had it figured-but my math skills suffer when I drink as does my pool game. This is why drinking and pool dosent mix for me. I know how much I lost because I know what I started with, but it didnt add up in my mind, LOL. It was a very confusing night. Scooter damn near had a heart attack several times, LOL I like him and I'm on the make up-if you are reading this buddy.

One other time I was onthe jar when JCIN and Don Coats come over to play snooker, I cant remeber if we were betting, it might have been $10/man or something. On the 12' box I'm not sure if I made a ball and I didnt drink much, I did score points on their fouls but I lost every game.
If you see me drinking and playing pool for $$$, I'm dumping someone off, or I'm mad at my $$$. Bet everything against me you possiblely can and parlay that until its over, you cant lose.:grin:

Usually just water during league matches. But, if I'm having fun and the games don't matter, I like Sam Adams.

Rockstar on the drive to the poolhall. Soda water with a lime while Im shooting and very rarely a good beer after I shoot (Dogfishhead 90 minute IPA, Chamay Blue, Boulder Mojo rising, Stone ruination, and you cant beat a guiness but Youngs double chocolate stout comes close.) For me alcohol and pool dont mix.

Oh my, but you are correct. There was a day when a couple of work-colleagues and I made a hobby out of trying different scotches when we'd go away for business meetings. We'd stop at the liqour store, and each of us would buy a fifth, one of us buying glenlivet as we all agreed on how good it was, and we could use that as a barometer for the other ones we were about to try. Over ice, or neat. Yes, good times, good scotch. Often times wouldn't get alot done at the meetings next morning, but hey...

Can't do that any more. Went down the wrong path a few too many times in those days. But boy, was that good stuff.
It's Coke for me. Or egad Pepsi If Coke isn't available. I do not drink, ever.
I promised my mother when I went to college she would never get a phone call to come and get me. Because I did something stupid after drinking. I have never broken that promise. Even though she's gone I will NEVER break that promise. It means too much to me.
I'm no prude. Teammates drink all the time. Even to the point of serious inebriation. I don't care, I won't drink, period.

Actually, I forgot something. I've got a bottle of Crown Royal that was a gift for my 21st birthday that's never been opened that I'm gonna crack open when I get the man cave in full operation!

Just Coke or water if I'm playing. I MIGHT sip on a beer on league nights if we're playing a crappy team. When not playing I have to agree with the earlier post, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is the absolute nectar of the gods. Bridgeport IPA takes a close second.
Club soda with a twist of lime, water, or diet coke. Don't drink any booze.
