For me , it is a tossup between the Practice Pro pocket reducers and the Break Rak. Both are excellent.
Using the pocket reducers, I learned a LOT about my stance and alignment, and how to get it right on a consistent basis. This goes a long way toward making me a consistent ball pocketer. Also, it teaches one to play position with proper and accurate cueing rather than by cheating the pocket. While cheating the pocket has its place, it is certainly helpful to understand how to play position without doing it.
The Break Rak is simply awesome for learning both cueball control on the break, and also a certain "stroke" that really pops the balls and produces great action out of the rack. If you watched Shane vs Mike, you may have noticed that they were breaking about the same speed, but Shane's break produced a LOT more action out of the balls. Working with the Break Rak has helped enormously in that department!
