Improve my game

I was out tonight shooting pool,I have been more focus on where I am hitting the cue ball. my game is improving allot. Trying to get back in the grove.
I have eye surgery starting the 7th to the 17th. I have hi hopes of getting my eye sight back. Right now I am un able to see out of my left eye.
I really have to work the table to break and run try to keep long shots to a
minimun.

Also all kinds of drills.

I plan on doing a video so I can see where I am screwing up.
I also would like to study video on my breaks see if i can pick out a pattern.

I still cannot shoot a long straight shot and then get full table draw .

I'm setting up a unique practice/training center in Dallas/Ft. Worth with all the "bells and whistles". The table was just installed last week and we're installing the cameras, TVs, etc. this weekend.

My "New Years Commitment" is to start personally training more people here in Dallas/Ft Worth, and Johnny Archer and I are talking about doing a monthly in Atlanta, and maybe Las Vegas.

If anyone's interested in getting on the shedule you can email me - cj@cjwiley.com (my inbox on AZ stays pretty full).

The rates will be VERY reasonable for the first people that sign up and will be adjusted according to "supply and demand". I intend on staying VERY busy these first few months of this year teaching the TOI, advanced stroke and position techniques, as well as everything I offer on my DVD's - for more info www.cjwiley.com

My goal is for everyone to improve and enjoy the Game as much as possible in 2013, and I hope to be of assistance, either on AZbilliards, Face Book or doing personal training/seminars/lessons in DFW, Atlanta, Las Vegas. I know the Game of pool in 2013 is going to be full of "surprises".:);) 'The Game is the Teacher'

Hello Mr. CJ,
I appreciate what you did at and for the Mosconi cup and the USA. Happy New Year to you and your family. I see you have a full set of plans for 2013. helping people and pool players to improve their pool game is one of my main goals, for 2013. I love to see people play good pool. You must visit New Orleans, Louisiana some time. Keep up the good work, CJ!
Many Regards,

Mike,
I wish you all the best with your plans and your eye surgery in 2013! Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope you get your pool game in the order you want it to be in. You are a class act, and an asset to the AZB family.
I have eye problems myself. I know how hard it is to deal with it.
Many Regards,

I hear there's a lot of pool action and a GREAT place to play.

I will visit New Orleans very soon, it's been on my "list" for over two years now. We hear there's a lot of pool action and a GREAT place to play. Right now just trying to get everything caught up so I can go to the DERBY this year. Maybe I can get a "list" of games and shoot for the "action award".

Best Wishes this year to you and yours as well "L n L"

The other night I was not in the mood to play and it showed, and I started whining about the conditions at my least favorite pool hall.

I think I'll work on crying less, making fewer excuses, and learning to give full care and attention to my game even when I don't like the equipment.

Either that or just stop going to pool halls I dislike??

Hello CJ,
I appreciate the best wishes coming from you. Yes, there is a lot of action in New Orleans, at Buffalo Billiards and other places as well. You will enjoy your visit here I know. I hope you do well at DCC! Thanks.

I am starting a 9-ball (monday nights) and 8-ball league (wednesday nights). I will take my time and have fun.

I also will play more at different pool halls to get the feel of different felt/cloth, bumpers and speed.

I want to be a good player on all tables, not just the one or two I prefer at the pool hall.

League will help with that as the 9-ball is rotating between 4 different bars and 8-ball will be in one location on different tables.

I actually did come up with a New Years pool resolution. I decided I would diagram 5 shots that came up during a match that I missed, that bothered me. I would then practice a diagram at random until I managed to make the shot 100 times in a row without missing, at which point I will happily tear up the diagram. I figure 5 diagrams with 100 no miss shots each could potentially take me to 2014. :)

Loss some weight and build some endurance. When I play in multi-day tournys I tend to get worn down just a bit. I am hoping it will help my break a little too.

Meaning, what are you going to do to improve your pool game for this New Year? I am going to practice even more this year! Banks, kicks, and hard shots are all I practice, a little more cue ball control too. Happy New Year to you. Thanks for your input.

I'm done. eyes are going, back hurts, knees are all banged.

Maybe if I quit spending so much time on the computer and a little more exercising.......hmmmm.

I intend to spend more time alone at the table and to enjoy my cues and getting to know the physics of the table. I will work on the stroke and consistency while making my shots more efficient and keeping my strategy more simple. I will enjoy this year at the table more then the last! Best wishes to all....

Excellent goals buddy:D

I for myself have the goal to have the same passion to work with my students. To help them reaching their own goal and their overall game.
Myself anyway not able to really play seriously. But teaching and instructing is giving more and more satisfaction and fun.
2013 will be a fantastic year.. i am sure
