just took off the stock schon tip and put on a sniper, I can make shots with the sniper i couldnt do with the other one.(without miscuing at least). I think i just prefer the soft tip though, Just ordered my first kamui, hopefully that one is as good as everyone says it is.

Talisman medium. Nice tip: Holds shape very well, and after a few hits, it holds chalk well too. My current one is from november, and I had to reshape it only once.

They are considered problematic by many pool players, because there have been more reports of delamination than with other cues. My three tips have held up well so far, one of them being installed by me without a lathe, and two by my cuemaker.

While they are somewhat under the radar on pool cues, I was quite surprised that they are getting popular among snooker players. The fact that Ronnie O?Sullivan uses them might have something to do with this

Mike Wooldridge Super Laminated Layered Tip.

Best tip i've ever used. Really grabs hold of the cueball.

Check out www.handmadecues.com

Haven't used the laminated version yet. The pressed is very very good though. I may buy a cue from him - he's just a bit expensive!

I used triangles for a long time. I switched to the Talisman WB hard. I have it on my break cue and playing cue. Only had to shape when I first installed it, never mushroomed, holds chalk extremely well for a hard tip.

When I started playing with the Z2 I switched from a Morri Quick to a Talisman x hard.

Just got 3 Kamui ms put on all three of my cues. When bryan (BCM) was cutting them down we were a little worried (Well i was worried, Bryan flat out said these aren't cutting well AT ALL) But i took em out, pounded balls for an hour with all 3 shafts , took them back to get trimmed and reshaped and the results are.....I have 2 Moori III M for sale.

soft moori is the best tip on the planet. you can feel the tip grab the cue
ball. 2nd choice is an elk master, it will grab the ball but good ones are difficult to find.

I've got Moori's on my White and on my Mottey's. My Scruggs has the tips that were on it when it was sent to me and I *think* they may be Snipers. I honestly don't know though. Whatever it is on there I like it a lot.

looking at photos of various tips leads me to believe they're Sniper's

I like the hardest nonlayered leather I can find.. and triangle and LePro are both very consistent in that area IMO

You know, I've used Triangle tips for more than 20 years and to this day I swear by them. When I got my Jim White I asked him to put Triangle's on it for me. When it got here I hit some balls with it and couldn't stand the way it hit. I decided to put a Moori medium on it to see if it would make a difference and I gotta tell ya, just changing from the Triangle to the Moori was like switching from a Pinto to a Cadillac. I still like Triangle tips and would recommend them to anyone asking for advice on tips, but now I gotta think that it also depends on the cue. The JMW won't fly with Triangle's on it.
