What Pro Player's "Player" is worth the most $?

To a novice, the cue with the most exotic wood and gemstones is worth the most money.

To the pro player, it doesn't matter who makes the cue or what it looks like; rather, it's the cue with the best "hit." That's worth more than money to a pro player. :grin-square:

EOM, nothing else I can add. Thanks Karl

Look at AZB players winning each year listing, SVB looks like he made the most $143K this year in the USA maybe more if they win Mosconi cup, in England snooker $$ is much more, top players could be worth $300K

If I understand the question correctly, he wants to know the player with the most expensive cue. I certainly don't know, but I have heard that Shannon Daulton's Gilbert was $17000. That may not be accurate.

You can never ask a simple question without esoteric answers on AZ.

I'll guess Santos' PFD cue. Decades ago I would haves said Rempe's Taj Mahal Meucci, but I never saw him shoot with it. Santos shot ( still shoots?)) with his.

Freddie <~~~ non-esoteric

Johnny Archer once played with Schon cue that was worth $12 500.

Had a bunch of Ivory in it. Stopped using it cause it was too heavy as he got older.

Kim Davenport used to shoot with a Szamboti.
Ralf Souquet has a fancy Joss.

It's a shame that so many of the great cues are wall-hangers.
A lot of mediocre cues on the tour because of commercial considerationns.

Santos lost that cue.
Santos shoots with a Diveney now.

I don't know if you are looking for a definitive answer or if you are starting a thread to stimulate discussion about which cues we would speculate to be most valuable.

I don't know the actual answer(s). My speculation is that the most valuable cues that belonged to pro players would be the Balabushka cues from:
Willie Mosconi
Luther Lassiter
Cisero Murphy

Perhaps a better way of stating my answer is that these are the cues I would most want if I was a collector and had already won the Power Ball lottery.

Hatch used to play with a black and white ebony and ivory Gulyassy that was supposed to be over 10K... after that he had one that was desert ironwood and ivory that I'm pretty sure mr. gulyassy said would be over 15k to make. He now plays with an old Meucci lol

Yes and hatch sold that gulyassy when he was not suppose to.

Vivian Vivereal plays or played with a very ornate Kersenbrock worth $20,000. Forgive my spelling please.
