Cue-man,
I was tempted to put Efren on the list, but the sad fact is that some players are just so far above us mere mortals, that they really can't empathize or even imagine how limited our skills really are.

In my recent, alternate shot match with Efren as my partner, I asked him where I should position the cue ball for his next shot, he replied "it doesn't matter."

Having said that I still believe his insights would be fabulous if there wasn't a little bit of a language gap. I LOVE his player review Accu-Stats tape. He is truly "The Magician."

Here is a link to a thread describing our celebrity match.

May I ask which match this is? Is it the one where Nick Varner and Danny Medina are playing and Efren is commentating or does he have his own Player Review tape?

If money was NO object, and you could spend a week in PRIVATE LESSONS 1 on 1 with (3) Great Pool Players. One Week with EACH Player.

Who would you choose to learn from, and why.

I have my (3) Choices, but will be silent for a while. :)

Miz
Varner
Martin

I haven't seen his name mentioned but I would say Steve Mizerak. I have played him a number of time both in tournaments and fooling around and almost everything that comes out of his mouth is a gem. I don't know if he even gives lessons but he would be great. I was just about to play him in a match and he gave me a tip regarding how I was warming up and it was a good one. I think there are a lot of good players that are just not good teachers. Varner would be another I would like to hang around if I was looking to raise my game. I like Martins style of play.

My choices

:D Deceased - Willie Mosconi, Jack Breit, U.J. PUckett, living; Jeremy Jones, Buddy Hall, Nick Varner

Danny Diliberto
Grady Matthews
Nick Varner

All three for their immense knowledge.
