As you may know, SW cue plays very solid.
I like to know what tip you use?
soft or hard?
and brand?

are you serious?

What are the best shoes to wear on Thursdays?

It's a ridiculous question at best.

Never understood why some people act like a simple question is too dumb for them to even consider... Why even comment? Just skip over the thread if it's a waste of your precious time....

anyway. I found that my SW felt the best "for me" with a Moori "Quick" but I like a hard(er) tip. There are lots of good tips out there. I'd say start with what you like from previous cues. The SW will probably be great with just about anything.

If you are not sure what tip you like, I suggest you start with a Triangle; classic option that should match a SW.

I ordered a hard tip on both of mine and, to honest, I never knew just what they were and didn't care. They worked.

I've heard that SW cues play best with Longoni laminated quick stiff exam tips! However, think this is too personal question and that every person speak differently about this topics and this is higly connected with passion and ability of memorazing things well.Otherwise would be regardless.Hope this helps

I used a Moori mediums on my Southwest for the last 13 years and have been happy with them. I just put on a Kamui medium black and it plays good too.

I would recommend one of Steamer Cue Sports Ltd.'s. new FourSkin tips. They come available in Limp, Kinda Hard, and Damned Hard.
If you are a novice player then a Limp tip would be hard to beat. If you are somewhat more experienced then a Kinda Hard tip might be right up your...alley. Damned Hard tips are for those who can really break a set of balls.

I prefer either Moori soft or Kamui soft.

I have a Kamui black soft on my Gus, and it I plays great. My only issue with it is it seems to mushroom. I probably wont use it again.

I have a G2 medium on both Shafts and they are worked very fine without mushrooming but you can try Tiger Onyx too
just my 2 cents

Obviously no wrong choice, but I have a fake SW cue so I use a Tiger Emerald tip, it's the closest thing to a fake tip I can find. It has recycled pig leather splits. Whatever the hell a pig split is.

Kidding aside, I was strictly a Triangle tip user until I tried these things. They feel great, shape great, are not very expensive. I finally found what I think is the perfect tip for me.

They are definitely worth a try IMO.
