In the first set, the world's "best" player wasn't able to make more than two balls in a row.Eagle1 said:Well like Shawn Putnam said,(you can't take off 10yrs and expect to come back and be @ the top of your game or pick up were you left off! Reyes-Sigel so one sided that I could'nt enjoy it! I expected a little more competition!
I AGREE!!!PoolSharkAllen said:In the first set, the world's "best" player wasn't able to make more than two balls in a row.He should not have been automatically seeded into the Finals, as he would have been eliminated well before then.

Things that make u go HUUUMM!!ndakotan said:It was such a sham job. KT and Sigel are best friends, so Sigel got the spot. And I believe that Sigel has been credited a win in a major tournament (KOTH 2005) because he beat LJJ.
With all of the talk he did about women and pool, I can't wait to see him eliminated by any woman in the IPT.
Also, just watched his instructional tape produced by IPT, and he catagorically states that a ball cannot be thrown using english on the CB. He says the only way to make a ball is to hit opposite the pocket using outside english (on cut shots).
This is so amazingly dumb, he acknowledges that english affects the shot by saying you have to use 1 tip of outside english, but he denies that the ob path can be changed by using english on the CB. I think he should read a book before he teaches others.

These things u say r true! I just didnt expect 12thrashings in a row! Or a 2 set whoopn!frankncali said:In all honesty I thought it was a great event.
Legends were honored and were given a little $$$ and a chance at more. They finally had a little spotlight one them. Thanks KT
I could care less if Sigel was there for this event. We all know that
he will not be there for any more.
It was a kickoff event and Efren, a true living legend, won the money. I thought it was fitting.
As the IPT progresses we will only be blessed with better play and unbelievable matches.
Hopefully some non pool fans and all pool fans support the IPT and its TV broadcasts. I can only hope that it gets big enough for more people to see it. OLN is not exactly NBC
U must have went 2 the rest room or for refreshments, he missed quite a few shots that u and i could have made! Oh and the score, 8-0 1st set 4-0 into the second set b4 mike got lucky! OH ! and set 3,thats right there was no set 3!Snapshot9 said:I thought the same thing from the scores until I saw the actual match on TV.
In all fairness, Mike only missed about 2 shots he should have made. That one first shot where he tried to go 2 rails and break 3 balls up should have never been attempted because the line wasn't right for it to begin with, and he should have waited till later in the game to break them up. When he did get a turn in the first set, he did not really have a shot or the cue ball was behind a stripe or frozen to a solid, etc.. plus Efren running everything in sight (Efren did dog a 7 ball into the corner). The second set Mike did run some tables as reflected by the 8-5 score (Mike was 5). He said he was loose the first set, but I do not beieve it, but it looked like he did loosen up on the second set. I think he may have been a little jittery about playing Efren in particular.
yeah me too, what they say about him he made it to 115 or so final matches and he won a 105 of them. Now that is something.bobroberts said:Its amazing that all you pros can beat Sigel and know so much more then he does.I personally did not care for the guy but he is the one that got the IPT started.I was also surprised that almost all the seasoned pros were rooting for Mike. Its too bad I missed seeing him in his hay day.I imagine he was pretty unbeatable.

I was shocked to see a professional of his caliber go into self-destruct mode but the more he ran his "mouth" and his wife pouted, I pulled for Efren that much more.
