What wood is this?

Hello everyone. Can someone give me a good guess as to what type of wood this could be? I cut up an old house cue probably made in the early 80s. I cannot tell what type of wood it is... my best guess is that it is purpleheart that has turned brown over time. Thanks.

Either that, or Sapele, or lightly figured Narra, would be my guess.

If you expose it to a black strobe light and some Jimi Hendrix, you may see some Purple Haze.

Purpleheart that is that brown is usually just fresh cut... I agree let the sun hit it for a day or 2.

I have purpleheart that color, that stays that color. Not a big deal, still pretty wood, just not quite the purple we typically think of with purpleheart.

Thanks everyone. I thought it was purpleheart but just wasn't sure. I've never seen purpleheart turn brown like this. Does all PH eventually turn purple? This one was from a 30 year old house cue, I am guessing.
