What Would You Do 10-Ball Series - Shot #1

I think you should kick the one ball from the bottom rail to the side rail and then send it up table and leave the cue ball by the two ball and try to use the ten ball as a blocker.

I would prob go with this shot.Johnnyt

There's that Justin Hall boy on the next table ... that mother funker can play!! He got the engish tea cup pinky grip

Shot #1

Over cut one w/left spin leaving one ball on short rail behind two while sending cb to rest near upper right corner hiding cb from one ball view behind four ball. I plan on doing this to K. Corr in a couple of weeks (just a premonition that I'll be playing her at TS). Oh yeh, then running out to begin a three-pack when I get ball in hand...lol.

Hit the 1 full in the face with the CB, and hard, with a stop shot stroke. 1 goes off the right side (from our vantage point) of 2 ball, and goes 3 rails behind the 6/8 on the left rail. 2 ball goes 2 rails into 10, possibly cheesing it in right side pocket. CB stays near where the 1 was. Could possibly be forced closer to the corner pocket or the long rail, to make the safe better.

Edit: Added pic.

In 10 ball it does you no good to "ride" the cheese. Two-way shots are also no good. It's a call shot game.
Should he call the 10? If the misses it - almost assuredly would - and the 1 ends up behind the 6 and 8 like diagrammed, Johnny would simply make him shoot again.
If he calls "safety" and shoots your shot and slops the 10 ball in, it's still Johnny's table to take or give back.

In 9 ball your shot is worth looking at for sure.

Due to the insulting nature of the posts by Black-Balled, that will be the end of this series. Someone else can take the time to continue it if they wish.

Merry Christmas!

Two-way shots work fine in 10 Ball.

This is wrong. There's no option if he doesn't sink any ball.

If he calls "safety" and shoots your shot and slops the 10 ball in, it's still Johnny's table to take or give back.
This is the result whether or not he calls a safety. Calling a safety is meaningless in 10 Ball.

I've only ever played 9 ball in the past 15 yrs, never saw anyone playing 10 ball on a local level, maybe one or two guys once in a while. So my mind is always in "ride the cheese" mode. Thats my favorite way of winning:) It is the most fun:)
