What would you do in this situation?

You are in a jam, what do you do?

You are an outsider playing a local. About an hour and half prior to closing you find yourself down $1,000 playing $100 a game 9 ball. Problem is, you only have $500 in your pocket.

I know, the answer from most people would be never EVER air barrel anybody, but just for fun let's say you got yourself in this jam.

What do you do?

No WAY I'm giving up my Scruggs! (and it better be a BIG bathroom window!)

...imo

I'd start thinking of reasons to bring my cue to the bathroom ... and pray that I will fit out the window with it.

lol

I would pick the first or second option depending on other factors, mainly weather I thought I could win.

Sorry I just couldn't resist picking the last option on the poll.

Would have quit when my money was GONE

Never have played on air. Had it done to me, not many times.:eek::eek:

Are you in a state with a CCW?

I had been playing pool for about 6 months I was a C- player. I was playing for $5/game 9B, I had $22-$23 in my pocket, I was the better player. I knew what a air barrel was and wanted the experience of shooting a air barrel, I probably could have borrowed the $$$ form some one in the pool room, but maybe not it was like 11Am or noon.

I lost the first 4 in a row, so my $20 was gone, we wernt posting the $$$, So I decided to fire air. I was scared-it would have been embarassment not me getting beat up, I didnt win 4 right back-in-row but I did get even pretty fast, IIRC I did end up $20 ahead, or $10. I 100% did win something. I have never fired air ever again, without telling who I'm playing-I have credit with certain friends and vica-versa. the pressure was huge, now to fire $big$ air-barrels I couldnt make a ball. I'm glad I did that and learned a cheap lession. I'm certainly not proud but its all part of learning everyhting you can in this game. I learned the easy way-I dont recommend it to anyone-ever.

Al-to answere your question, first off I wouldnt ever be in that spot, but if I was I would leave the cue with the house man for a agreeded upon amount of time, 24-36-48 hours max, and come the next day and make good. If I didnt make good I would figure out a way with 48 hours to make good. Hopedully the counterman would accept $100 tip for hlding the cue as collateral, if the guy I owed wanted more collateral Id figure out something, I wouldnt go out hte back window. At Hollywood Billiards you would need a jack hammer to get out there is no window:eek:.

ps AL keep the polls up buddy I enjoy them even if I dont post in them:)
