My personal Player

A 'geometric' Layani. Softest feeling cue I've ever found - you'd have to pry it from my cold, dead paws...

Since 1993 it has been a Southwest. Originally I played with a cue made by Jerry Franklin and David Kershenbrock back in 1985, a plain cue made of Pao Fero. Three years ago I gave that cue to my wife and I now play with a six point ebony cue made by Jerry Franklin in 1996. I cannot imagine ever playing with anything else. Southwest IMO are the best hitting cue ever made.
 
Sherm Cues

Those Sherm cues play pretty good.
An friend here in Denver that died of cancer had one and I think he sold it to a young guy that works at the pool hall.
Great playing cue.

Although, if forced to choose, I would have to stick with old faithful, my Webb.

Koop - loves them both though.

2005 Mottey, piloted ivory joint. It is actually a fantastic player but what really puts it in a different category than my previous cues is that this is the first cue that I "love". It's a part of me, I know I'll have to sell it for another non-cue reason but I try and lengthen this period I spend with this cue as much as possible.

I played with it today again and it's just unreal how it feels.

I have not had any break cues during the past several years. (I never ever break with my playing cue, barcues are just perfect for this)
 
That layani is pretty sweet. Sherm i wonder what happened to that cue you made Cornbread Red quite a few years ago that had his name on the butt. I regret that i didnt get it from him couple years before he passed. He was practically giving it to me but still didnt have the money.

I rotate between these three. I had the McDaniel on the left made for Christmas 2004. I bought the Drexler in June/July of 2007, and the second McDaniel in June of last year. All three play great, although the first McDaniel is my sentimental favorite.

My trusty player

Ernie Martinez sneaky, older from '92 or '93. Satin finish 57.5", 17.6 oz, 12.4mm true wood to wood 3/8 12 pin. Breaks great and can jump full balls.
 
CUE: Fisher, 6 point tulip into BEM with stacked leather wrap and tulip butt.
SHAFT: mikkelsen cues shaft BMXtreame 2 (these are the best shafts i have ever played with) with H2 tip
HOW LONG: not very long, 6 months or so.
