How much of the blue-green color in the pic is light reflection?
My first guess would have been an Ebony. But, then, I remember one of the first pieces of Cocobolo we bought. It had that blue-ish glare. I'm thinking the breaks in the grain aren't quite right, but it does remind me an awful lot of that piece of Cocobolo. Could it be?

I don't see any blue-green. I was going to say blackwood too but it's not that, soooo, I'll say some grainy gabon ebony.
