What's the best pool hall in your town, and why?

I'd have to say around the detroit area Hall of Fame Billiards. 17 Gold Crown tables, 8 Bar Box Tables, 1 Snooker table, 1 Billiard Table, 3 Heated 3 Cushion Tables,Leagues, Tournaments, Pro Shop, House Pro Ronnie Wiseman. Love this place even tho the rates are a little steep

Simple For Me

Dallas does not have a nice pool room...period..It's all crap

Five of my favorite spots so far have been Magoo's - Tulsa, Jamaica Joe's - OKC, Legends - Houston, Fargo Billiards - Fargo, ND, and Music City Open spot wasn't bad either.

In my ex-town there's a pool hall thats called Big Shots Billiard in Lake Forest. But I don't really like that room. They serve alcohol and have a jukebox so I guess some people here wouldn't like it. I just don't feel that "player" mentality.

I believe that in Orange County the best pool hall (I am biased by the way) would be Santa Ana Billiards, in beautiful Santa Ana, CA. Most people would say Danny K's is the best, but according to some people alcohol dosen't make it a REAL pool hall. I personally like Santa Ana Billiards over any pool hall in Orange County. No alcohol, no drunks, no TVs (well there's one but a very small one), just pool, 3 cushion (a lot, there's even writing on the wall stating ''aqui jugamos carambola'' or here we play carombole or 3c. As I recall, two years ago they had a huge 3c event, the place was PACKED), and the ongoing golf game on the 6x12. Gold crowns and Verhoevens. Not to mention the card game they always seem to have going on. People are always hanging out on the bleacher they have there. They even have lockers that most of their regulars use. They have a juke box that will randomly play a Spanish song once in a while, rarely seen dollars put in it, only on maybe the weekends. But that just adds ambiance to the room. When you walk in you know that people there are all about cue sports, during the daytime at least, at night you'll see a couple bangers.

My favorite pool hall, maybe because that's where I found my passion .

We have 2 really nice rooms here in the Pittsburgh area.

Breakers - Owned by Paul Mottey. Very well kept Diamond tables and 6 well kept Gold Crowns. 1 Diamond bar box and 1 Billiard table. This place attracts the serious shooters, but they also have several leagues including APA.

South Hills Golden Cue - Owned by Jimmy Marino. 18 Very nice Gold Crowns and 1 Billiard table. This place is laid back and friendly and has the young crowd filling up the place on weekends.

Depending on your mood, either place is great to shoot at.
Both great place to shoot with, golden cues gold crown has sightly bigger pockets though, but people there are very friendly.

Stay away from Gradys pool room in Columbia, S.C. It's a smoke filled shithole run by crooks. Baileys is nice with great food. Stix is a cool place, awesome tables.

Here in the Hampton Roads area of VA, it would have to be Q-Masters. If you've ever been to the US Open, then you probably have been to Q-Masters. That's were all the action is during the big tournament. There's no other places worth mentioning. There is another place where Charlie Williams got his start playing pool. he grew up in that place. But that's just another reason why it's not worth mentioning. LOL
