Whats the craziest thing you have seen on the Break shot

Many years ago a friend and myself were playing and he broke, the cue ball ramped off the one ball and flew about 25 or 30 feet to a table with someone on it playing. The guy playing nearly got hit in the head and was obviously upset on almost getting knocked silly. Once we get the cue ball back and apologized I rack the balls again and believe it or not the cue ball does the exact same thing this time coming within inches of the guys head. The guy a very good player flips his lid as he thinks we did it on purpose. It was a miracle a fight didn't break out, just freaky 2 breaks 2 near knockouts!

I also saw a girl walking by a bar table get hit in the face from a beak shot----------The poolhall called a ambulance she was out of it with a huge mouse above her eye!

Lets hear some stories.

Yrs ago in Nebraska at a local bar table tournament, big cue ball, it flew off the table on the break and landed inside of a tom collins glass without breaking it. I, as a young 16 yr old, miscued so badly that the cue ball went vertical and broke a globe that was hanging down from the ceiling about 10' off the ground, I also once saw someone get their collar bone broken standing behind a 9 ball rack and his opponent broke the balls immediately.

I once broke a rack playing 8-ball and ended up with 13 out of 15 balls above the side pockets, but didn't sink a single one on the break. Standard head-ball hard break.

I've broke a cue ball into pieces, hit one girl in the hip on her b-day, and hit many other people at the bar.

Saw a guy break-the CB went up and hit the light 100mph came back down to the table bounced back up and hit the light AGAIN!

I was playing this guy...He broke and the 8-ball went in and the cue ball popped up on top of the rail...Followed the rail the length of the table, then hung a second at the corner pocket spinning. It then dropped on the green millimeters from the pocket. I've never seen anything else like this EVER!!

i once saw a girl in a halter top break a rack of one pocket...both her breasts flew out upon impact, she left them out and proceeded to run 8 and out...ha

I was watching a match between these two players and one was on the
Intoxicated side.Anyway when this guy was breaking he was really putting alot of his body into the break.
He breaks and his whole body lands on top of the table and balls.
It was a gamgling match and what was so funny is the looks on there
faces on trying to figure out what to do.

I break, cue ball busts the light fixture and lands on the floor, pocket 7 balls (!) and the one ball lands on the floor too.

When the smoke clears, only the eight is on the table amidst a garden of shattered glass.

I broke the balls in a little bar one time and the one ball split in half. I felt pretty good about myself. Naturally the ball had to be cracked before hand but it still looked damn cool.

I once broke an 8-ball rack and hit way to high on the head ball. The cue ball went up in the air and proceeded to fly about 15 feet onto the next table. 2 guys were also playing 8-ball on that table and my cue ball hit the 3-ball and long banked it into the corner pocket. It was the guy's last solid and without missing a beat he called the 8-ball and snapped it in the corner. His opponent just stood there stunned and couldn't believe what just happened.

Was sweating a match and told the guy breaking not to break like a sissy this time... He puts everything into it, and the ball careens off he side of the one, airborne at ceiling height. It hits the fan that's going full blast, flies 90 degrees across the room and hits the metal frame between the giant plate glass window.. Lucky!

A buddy of mine broke, the cueball flew straight off the table, hit a cinder block wall about 15 or so feet in the air, then bounced back on the table and found its way into a corner pocket.

I saw this similar thing... somehow the cue didn't drop in the side pocket but was going fast enough to pass over the hole... but went into the corner pocket

I also saw another break where the cue ball popped up into the air and fell stright down into the corner pocket without hitting anything... "nothing but net" (or leather)

I was playing at the Derby last week. A friend and I were playing 10 ball upstairs in the room with 8 tables that overlooked the main tournament room. There were two guys gambling on the table in front of me. I broke and hit the one. The cue ball shot straight ahead. The guy who was at the table was mid stroke and the cue ball flew over and hit him on the inside of the left ankle. He bends over in pain and accuses me of doing it on purpose. He said there was no way I could be that dead on without throwing it.

He told the guy he was gambling with that he needed a minute. I proceeded to walk up to the other guy and told him he owed me some jelly if his opponent couldn't continue (just kidding of course).

For the rest of the week, everytime I saw the guy I hit he would tell me to stay away, he didn't want no more.

This is not a break shot but.....

Years ago in Colorado Springs there were quite a few Corner Pocket pool halls that opened. The mfg of the table (I think La Montana was the name) made some 4x8's and if you banked a ball hard enough cross side it would sometimes come back out of opposing side pocket and back into play.

Cue Ball vs Slot Machine

At the Hippie Bar in Garmisch,Germany in early 1985,a guy who evidently had overindulged in his refreshment, puts everything into his break!! Now this is a pretty confined space with one bar box,and a few slots and video games along the wall. The distance between the table and the slot machine was about 6 feet beyond the end rail. The cueball elevated in a beautiful arc from the headstring, over the shoulder of the guy at the slot, and smashed directly into the monitor, exploding the glass and short circuiting the machine!! The guy at the machine,a buddy of mine,Eddie Furtado from California, was already 3 sheets into the wind, turns and looks with this blank stare at the guy breaking, and calmly said,"Hey Man,why did you do that?" About that time the release mechanism dropped and nickels started pouring out into the tray and the floor!! It was one of the scariest things I had ever seen!! He had small lacerations on his face from the glass!
