What's the humidity level in your table room?

I set my dehumidifier to be 50% RH in the basement where my table sits. Is this good enough for the table? What's yours?:embarrassed2:

My table is in a walk out basement, and I have been battling humidity for years.

I set mine to the lowest possible setting on the dehumidifer, which is 30%
 
In in the northeast, and while humidity isn't nearly as bad as in some areas, it does get obnoxious some times. I bought a dehumidifier and felt it was an uphill battle with it. Ifinally sprung for one of those portable air conditioners that vented through the basement window. The one I got was at BJs and was 14K btu. It handles my 725sq. ft area well. End of issue here.
 
summer - 40-45% on a RH meter.... around here, that's a dehumidifier running constantly

winter - 25-30% on the meter.... furnace really dries it out, down to 16%, so I'm running a humidifier most of time to keep the humidity up a bit

the table stays relatively stable with those swings.... managing the RH is a big deal
 
I go to chalk my tip the other day and mindlessly do it and shoot a draw and MISCUE!

I look at my tip and there is NO chalk on it. I look at the cube of chalk and ALL the chalk that was on my tip is now on the cube of chalk! It was a little darker blue and just lay on top of the cube like I'd carefully placed it there. My tip was wiped shiney clean by that cube of chalk! My tip had just been dressed the day before so it was nice and rough.

I've never seen such a thing happen in my life and I assume the humidity was the cause. (I chucked that piece of chalk, but it happened, not as bad as the first time, again with another cube (now, also chucked).

In the south we have to deal with it everyday. It makes for some interesting shots, especially when you are trying some snazzy cue ball control or on soft shots.
