what's the largest air barrel you've ever seen fired at someone?

Younger kid from up north came down and carried a Whitten & a SW (my first tip off) and played our "houseman". Big table 9 ball, switched to barbox, then switched back to 9ft for 1 hole. Our guy kept talking on the phone to his woman to have her bring his cash...she never did. He sold the kid the story to meet him there at lunch tomorrow...he'd have his money and for the kid to be prepared to play some for $5000.
The kid hung around for three or four days....our guy took an immediate road trip and didn't come back for like 60 days. Hopefully the kid learned his lesson and now post every set.
On a funny note...I had an air barrel fired at me for $100 by a guy they called "Big Country". One morning the poolroom called me to tell me Big Country was on Jerry Springer. Sure enough...he was living in Chicago sharing a trailer with some guy...and sleeping with the guys way old mother too. Class act this Big Country...

We used to have a guy that couldn't win a coin toss if he got to pick both sides of the coin. Anyway, one night he finally beat someone out of about $800. Not a huge score but good for a guy who never wins. Long story short, air barrel.
This was years ago in North Carolina at Brass Tap. I used to go there a couple of times a month, back then it was Johnny Archers hang out spot. Tells you how long ago it was. But there was this guy ..i dont know his name but he had gotten a major lawsuite settlement for falling of a roof or something ..but was betting major cash all over Raleigh NC. A big air barrel cause i would hear how the heavy hitter in ther area were fighing to play this guy, I would come up there and would here how he lost 10 grand one night then 5 the next. it was amazing. Varney. you ever hear the story of this guy?
I was tossed air for $2,500 (now paid)...I've had $1,000+ air shot at me by the same person, twice - but got paid both times... the biggest barrel, still unpaid, thrown at me would be $600.
I don't know about single biggest barrel, but I've seen some guys shooting for $1,000+ without a dime in their pocket... Everyone I've seen do this happens to win the sets, however.

1. I eat at Taco Bell once in about every 3 or 4 months, as I prefer HUMBERTO's REAL South of the Border Food. Not FAUX Mexican food. BTW HUMBERTO’s owner will not allow a TIP JAR...
2. I NEVER PUT anything in a TIP JAR, as it is the employers responsibility to Pay their employees a prevailing wage.

Well, ya got me wrong again Bruce. I am an independant. I won't vote for Hilliary and I sure as hell will not vote for anybody that supported that mass murderer George Bush. The only thing I am guilty of Bruce is being a compassionate, giving human being who believes every human deserves to be treated with dignity and resoect no matter where they work. At least they are working and not sitting around wondering why they have so little! Bruce, I will make a suggestion to ya buddy. Go out and buy a small book titled "The Seven Spiritual Laws to Success". There I believe you will find the answer to your poverty mentality. Only you can change it. Its so easy for everyone to say that he is being ridiculous in the way he handles diplomacy and that he should pull out of those countries. The way I see it, better safe than sorry. I always tip the servers for taking care of me. I know several with the "it's the employers responsibility to pay..yada yada yada." I think it is just an excuse for folks that are so tight, they squeak when they walk. After all, when I die, I cannot take it with me. May as well share what I have..
