whats the longest you've ever used one cue, 2 years? 20?

bought an ivory joint Joss around 1970. It came with 2 shafts and a Fellini case. Been using it ever since. Tried many others, but really saw no reason to change. Like to have someone knowledgeable give me an estimate on the selling price, as the docs tell me I haven't got a lot of time to get it sold. Thanks for any help I can get, not good at pictures, but send me an e-mail & I'll try. My address is: mjcolby@outlook.com Thanks again.

My AZ brother I will suggest this. If I was in your shoes, I would either pass it along to a pool playing family member, or friend.

I sent you my email.

I've had my OB 121 for about one year, but I plan to play with it for the next 30 years.

Of course, by that time I'll be 90 years old. I'll probably be warped by then.

I've had my Olney pj for just over 5 years now. I stopped playing for a long while in the middle there, but it's my main playing cue again and I still love it. I'd probably say it would continue to be my main playing cue if I didn't have Jeff building me another cue this summer that I'm really looking forward to. I plan on hanging onto my pj though, it was my first custom cue so I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

Played with a Capone for 17yrs., switched to a Black Boar just this winter.
Dont think ill be changing cues again anytime soon.....

4 years

I bought a Tascarella Hoppe from FAST_AND_LOOSE in Feb or march of 2010 and have played with it ever since. I have played with many cues, and this is the best fit for me. Once in a while, I bring my other cues to practice, and although they are good, nothing feels like the Tascarella. 4 years is a record for me.

Purchased a Schon cue when Schon started advertising their SP and R series line of cues in Pool & Billiards magazine in 1990. I purchased an SP-20 model. I have been playing exclusively with this Schon since that time. 24 years and counting - is there any other cue?

I love the best hitting cue thread below, so I ask myself why do we keep buying and changing cues if we find one we love. I remember reading about ronnie osullivan using a 40 pound( as in english currency) cue for 20 years or something, but pool cues have a different life span so to say. so, whats the cue you used longest, mine was maybe 2 years, and have wasted thousands since. you? and if you have a pic of it, even better.

I'll answer your questions in the order you asked them.

1. You keep buying and changing cues because you can't play and never could. You like to waste money on cues and talk about the ones you've owned.

I've played with my current cue for 28 years. I have many pics of it but none I would post here.

I just read some of your other posts, you're just an angry loser who spews his failures at a computer screen. you write like you're the only person on earth whos ever understood pool. go FK URself, and I want to see a video of you playing pool, show us all what exactly ur made of. if not, shut the fk up, and don't answer my threads ASSHOLE.

I played my Gus for 19 yrs before selling it, and than only to try to remain married, should have kept the cue.

20+ years for me with my Schon. It's a super simple Ebony merry widow with ABCDE rings, stainless joint and 4 small ivory diamonds in the butt. It's been everywhere with me and shows some battle scars but still plays absolutely great with both shafts still having the original Micarta ferrules.
