whats the longest you've ever used one cue, 2 years? 20?

Shot with an Adam from 79 to 91, then it was a Schon until 2008. Since then I've tried several, but am sticking with my Olney... I may die with it in my hand!

First nice cue I had was a plain looking 4 point custom Joss in the mid to late 80s. Played with that cue for almost 10 years, got in a bind and needed money so I sold it. Regretted it ever since. Got a Schon, and went on a spree of shooting with several other cues trying to find something that hit like the Joss. Never happened, even newer Joss's didnt feel the same. Went back to Schons, and changed butts several times, but used the same Schon shaft for 15+ years until I switched to 314 shafts. Ive currently got probably 10-12 Schons, all similar in weight that I switch out from time to time and use the same Predator shaft for the last several years.

I've been playing with my South West for 13 or 14 years now. If I used another cue, I would feel like I was cheating.

I've had my Dan Dishaw for just about twenty years now. I've had other cues from time to time but keep going back to the Dishaw. When I bought it, it was considered to be a poor man's Southwest. It still plays like one!

Dan makes a damn fine guitar as well as nice cues. Very talented fellow!

Eight

For eight years straight I played with a 6 point Black Boar. I am currently playing with Boars and SW.

I ordered my 2nd TAD, a T-4, in 1979 (2 shafts w/ivory ferrules for $379). I used it until 1994 when I got my current one (8 points and fancy butt sleeve). I've tried a lot of other cues but nothing compares to it. I'm still happier than a 'Pig-In-Shit' with it.

I still have the cue I played with 45 years ago. It's a no name cue, but hits just as good as any custom I've played with.

Been playing with a custom (one of a kind) ebony/ivory since 05. I love the look/feel/hit so this will be my last cue purchase.

As my main player, Schick was 9 years, Szamboti was 7 years, and South West was 6 years.

All,of my cues see occasional use. I still own a Joss for 29 years and the Schick has been 17 years. I previously owned the South West for 20 years and the Szamboti was 7 years.

My current player is a Showman, but I have started playing with the Schick again. I don't anticipate using any other cues in the future.

I own a adam classic for about 8 years ((ive been trying to sell it ( oh, the irony)) , I think it was '06. Ive done everything to it, can;t find a buyer, I might bring it back to its original state when I have the funds. I learned to really play pool with it. I have a custom coming with my favorite woods, if it plays like I think it will, I doubt ill ever change it, or sell it. Im done salivating over other cues, I won $140 with a players 3 days ago, players is being used while my other is being fixed, players is a serviceable cue, dont judge me.

I rotate through all of my cues except for one, for about a year at a time.

The cue I played with the longest is a TS titlist conversion. I think I played with that cue for about 8 years straight. Right now I am playing with a Jerry R's Buska tribute.I have a cue being finished up by a local cuemaker Alan Phelps, that will be my new player for some time.

I still have my Mark Moore cue I bought from him back in 1993. It's a nice ebony forearm with 4 cocobolo points with purple heart veneers around the points. It is still my playing cue today

I have a custom made cue by a local guy that I've had since my 30th birthday so it will be 15 years old in November & I still love it just as much as when I first received it.

Probably the longest would be a year or so. I had just a plain Tad birds eye cue that I liked pretty well. Tads probably have the worst finish on them of any cue. I had it about month or 2 and it started to flake off pretty bad. I send it to another cuemaker to have him put a better finish on it, than the lacquer that Tad uses. I then kept it for a year or so.

I used to buy and sell (flip) cues pretty regularly for a while.

While I have cues I have had for a long time, the cue I use, still changes every 1 -2 years, but usually less.

bought an ivory joint Joss around 1970. It came with 2 shafts and a Fellini case. Been using it ever since. Tried many others, but really saw no reason to change. Like to have someone knowledgeable give me an estimate on the selling price, as the docs tell me I haven't got a lot of time to get it sold. Thanks for any help I can get, not good at pictures, but send me an e-mail & I'll try. My address is: mjcolby@outlook.com Thanks again.
