Found this Helmstetter locally. Seller was asking $550. Out of the question imo. Wondering what y'all think would be a fair offer?

more pics. I was thinking $200...seller offered a compromise that I think is still too high.

They probably want this in the wanted/forsale section, but I think origional signed Helmstetters are collectable. I would ask jayman and Tate. There are some very knowledgable people on this forum.
Nice find. SEARCH Helmstetter in the search.
Purdman

Purdman...don't be rollin your eyes at ME, fella! ;)

(I DID search, and didn't find this exact cue)

Dunno why it'd be in the for sale or wanted since it's neither for sale (here) nor wanted (here;))

If a mod wants to move this, fair enough.

Never mind son.

I was just messing around, my man. The "wink" things are supposed to denote facetiousness. No reason to be offended.

I can't move the thread. I guess I could delete it and start over but I figured if a mod saw it they'd move it.

I did search though, and have yet to find specifics.

The cue market stinks right now,i would have to say getting $150-$200 is fair IMO but getting more then that most likely wont happen.

The cue is a Common RCH VIP Series Cue which was made in the early to Mid-1990's. The RCH models were not offered after 1996. These cues retailed new around $500 to $600, the cue pictured was one of the lower end models. The cues value is up to the buyer, but depending upon condition half the original retail is close to its value. Unfortunately Helmstetter cues / Adam cues due not hold the value they should because they were made in Japan. I do not agree with this, at all and I think they are very collectible, but many do not hold their value.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that

I think I'm going to pass.

If anyone wants it, the guy is offering it to me for $275 with an It's George soft case

I totally agree Manwon. I have owned many Hemstetters. They are very nice players. Unfortunately they sell well under what they are worth. That particular cue is on the low end. I also think they are very collectable, right now I only have two of them, my ritz and a high end 97 series, have sold or given several nice ones to friends. The 275 price is too high for this one, it is pretty comman.:)
