What's up with Tommy Kennedy??

I have heard in two places that former U.S. Open champion Tommy Kennedy has moved (or is moving) to Indiana. He is very prominent in the Florida pool world with his play and promotion.

Is This Really True?? Why?? Where??

P.S. - I'm hoping its Indianapolis for selfish reasons, and I'm also hoping he will be promoting events; Indiana could really use some organized pool tournaments similar to his Florida ventures.

Its true, Its true! TK moved officially at the end of September back to Indiana, around your neck of the woods. He will still be promoting the J. Pechauer SE Open events down here in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabammer. He left here on Sunday headed up to Indiana, he'll be there a few days and then its off to Chesapeake. If you PM me your phone number, I'll get you in contact with him.

Funny pic, I Have not seen him in years, we used to play cheap sets when he would come in the Flamingo.:)

I learned so much from him.:)

Tommy lived up here a while back, and Mark also lived here. There were a few times that Tommy, Mark, painter, etc were all playing three cushion.

If I remember correctly he was working for a friend who owned a hardware store.

Haha. Tommy is such a nice guy. I said hi to him a couple of months ago and he said hello and asked how I was, etc. I told him "You don't even know who I am and you're acting like I'm a long lost friend!" He said, "yeah, but you know me so I must know you somehow!" I met him once before that, and he's always been a fine gentleman!
 
just adding Kudos to TK and John Schmidt, they treat people so nicely, a 5 dollar banger (me) can even play a few racks with them with no fear of some angle being run.

So funny how champions give people more time of day than local short-stops witch chips on their shoulders.
 
I think TK is one of the greatest persons to have ever played this great sport. His Christian values, effervescent personality and over all enthusiasm makes him a person who is easy to like and admire. I've had three different occasions to meet and speak with him and each time, he gives undivided attention to the conversation at hand and is always warm and gracious. I left each encounter with greater rerspect for him. What a wonderful human being and you could hardly find a nicer person in all of pooldom. And that's saying something.

Let me tell you the greatest story about Tommy Kennedy....... but first, "a flea walks into a bar and jumps up on a stool and...."

Had to respond to this post. Tommy is a great player and great person. I wish him all the best in whatever he does.
