I'm a banker so I would love to give the bank a shot on the 3 although I would probably need to combo the 4 8 after that.
I think I would make the two with low right, draw 2 rails into the window between the 5/7, then play safe by banking the 3 out and leaving the CB behind the 4.
If I hit the 2 good I might even be able to bank the 3 with draw and freeze the CB to the back of the 4. If not, it's still an easy safe from inside that window.
Im with you on this one. Put the 2 and 3 in the same pocket.
make the 2, and bring the cue ball straight down the middle of the table toward the 3 and 4 balls (off the short rail after hitting the 2), hopefully bump the 4 out of the way and have a shot on the 3 ball to the bottom left pocket
If you play one-pocket, the cross corner on the two-ball looks like a hanger......now the cue ball wants to go one rail straight at the 3/4.
A lot of the misses are safties or hooks.
I would play the 2 ball 3 to 4 rails behind the 3, hitting it into the rail where it is lined up, and leaving the cue ball on the rail behind the 9.
You will either get ball in hand or likely have another easy safe (if you're not left with an open shot on the 2 with easy position on the 3).
