What's Your Best Shot From Here?

You are shooting the 2 ball. The 3 does not go past the 8.

I might try low right on the 2, sending the cue ball 3 rails into the 8 to clear it, then one more rail for a shot on the 3 into the upper right corner (top image).

Shoot the two ball two cushions away and leave the cue behind the nine. This one should get the minds rolling can't wait to see what others come up with.

play safe on the 2 and hope you get ball in hand and can make something happen. if you get ball in hand on the 2 and there is no good option to get on the 3 you can always play a safe again and see what happens.
It's cat and mouse.

I would play the 2 ball 3 to 4 rails behind the 3, hitting it into the rail where it is lined up, and leaving the cue ball on the rail behind the 9.

You will either get ball in hand or likely have another easy safe (if you're not left with an open shot on the 2 with easy position on the 3).

I pocket the two, and take the short rail straight up the table for the 3. I put the 3 behind the 8 or 4 and send the CB back towards the other short rail. Should be safe there.

My First thought would be to go ahead and play position for the 3 in the upper left corner despite the 8, and go rail first on the 3. can knock the 4 out from behind the 8 after as the cue ball travels away from the 3. Looks like the 3 might not go, even rail first.

I'm a banker so I would love to give the bank a shot on the 3 although I would probably need to combo the 4 8 after that.

make the 2, and bring the cue ball straight down the middle of the table toward the 3 and 4 balls (off the short rail after hitting the 2), hopefully bump the 4 out of the way and have a shot on the 3 ball to the bottom left pocket

I think I would make the two with low right, draw 2 rails into the window between the 5/7, then play safe by banking the 3 out and leaving the CB behind the 4.

If I hit the 2 good I might even be able to bank the 3 with draw and freeze the CB to the back of the 4. If not, it's still an easy safe from inside that window.

I like this too.

I'm playing shape for the three ball long rail bank, with a safe behind the 4 ball. Playing two rail shape to the 3 ball is very simple. If I make/bank the 3 ball I'm probably in a good position to get from the 4 to the five and out. But getting the ''free shot/bank'' on the 3 ball keeps me in control of the table even if I miss.

Im with you on this one. Put the 2 and 3 in the same pocket.

Never a good idea to agree with me lol. I'm way to aggressive in 9 ball, but you probably have a better stroke. I would go for the bank, miss and leave it in the opposite side pocket with him straight to draw the cb back and have the four. That's given I make the 2 anyway.

If you play one-pocket, the cross corner on the two-ball looks like a hanger......now the cue ball wants to go one rail straight at the 3/4.
A lot of the misses are safties or hooks.

I'd probably try this as well, knowing that if I miss the break-out (and I probably will miss it), there should be good safety opportunities with all the congestion at that end of the table. Looks like I have a good angle on the 2 for the straight-up-the-table shot.

Two options.

1. Bank the 2 up table and put the cue ball behind the 9.

2. Pocket the 2 ball and then bank the 3 and play safe.

#2 is best if you are confident of your ability to accomplish it.

I actually like this

I am with this shot, I like the 4 rails, blockers on both ends of the table and through the lanes.
You don't even have to be that perfect and you will cut off all angles for your opponet to hit it.
If they do take a pop at it there is a good chance they will open them up.
