Whats your high run in any game?

My high runs.

Starting with snooker, years ago on a standard 12x6 foot table 43 points (impossible dream right now), 8 ball don't play that much, but I think it was 3 racks, 9 ball 3-4 racks consistently, 14.1 - over 40 balls regulary (my favorite game to practice alone), high runn of 49, working on this 50 run hard, one pocket 12 balls couple times, 3 cushion 6 points.

These people who are running 6 and 7 packs consistently must be as good as the pros. Never knew how many strong players are on this board.

AJRACK (not my real name, just my pseudo) is Now in VANCOUVER > USA !!!
I used to live in Southern Cal, Vegas and Phoenix...went on the road quite a few times > overseas, south pacific, SE asia, and , Texas thru the south to D.C..
Are you still in Adelaide?
One of my best games played...Houston TX..straight pool to 125 points for $50...I broke and called the head ball in the side and ran 88...my opponent simply came up and ran 125!!!

Yeah I am in Adelaide still, finally found some players, and there is even a 9-ball tourney commin up. Gonna try sparring with the top players here for small cash, I am out of practice but so are they. It might be close plus they gotta warm up for the worlds.

Don't worry!

Hey man you'll get there, if you really want to, just keep practicing, there is no other way. One day, you won't even notice you'll start running more balls annd than racks! GOOD LUCK.

I ran 5 9 ball racks one time,Never play 8 ball,ran 8 balls in one hole,and I have never played straight pool.

Broke over 20 times 9 ball last nite. Didnt make a ball on break or if I did was hooked on the Object Ball. No racks run in 20 breaks! Had a Dr Cues Protege moment.

My condolences to your equipment. ;)

Acton?

Bill,

I know where you might get some good golf action. They play it on a very fast 5X10. PM me if you want more info.

Eric, as far as I'm concerned, that has to be a great first post. I was thinking the same thing. You worded it nicely. Not calling anyone a LIAR, lol yet looking at it logically it is getting a bit DEEP, lol.

Forgot to mention my greatest feat, IMHO. I ran 18 holes playing golf on the 5X10 snooker table with 4 other players in the game. This was playing off the 6 ball spot, NO, not off the 7 ball spot, which is a better way to play a golf ring game. Use to be my long suite. Still love the game but no one plays it any more.

Are any of these runs made in a Tourny situation or is everybody doing it on a practise table?

This is a real funny thread. Its like a bunch of young guys talking about how many women they have slept with. I guess you need to use the same formula to figure out the truth. Its been said if you want to know how many women a man has slept with you ask and whatever the number given you just divide by 3 and you will have the true answer. Seems to be the same case here.
BTW if you want to know how many men a woman has slept with you do the same except you multiply the number by 3 instead!

Umm, 3 racks of 9-ball equals 27 balls... you've run more in 9-ball than in straight pool ? A little bit unbalanced record I'd say :p
I not proud of it........ Something tells me that I have been a little more honest the some of the others on this thread.

I agree, there are some outrageous numbers being put up here, but, what the hell, it's fun. I've noticed that there a lot of guys with numbers like mine, plenty of 9-ball racks ran but the straight pool numbers are so low. I just never played the game so I don't even know if I ran 40, could've been lower actually. I forgot about 1 pocket. I've ran plenty of 8 and outs but my defense sucks, I can't beat anybody at that game. Just a shot maker I guess. I've never had to spot anyone so I never had to go past 8.

High run in straight pool = 2,453 (you can ask any one who was there).
Consecutive racks in 9 ball = 47 (for $6,000 a game against Efren)
High billiard run = 52 (crappy table or it would have been more)
Wife = Morgan Fairchild (yeah, that's the ticket)

Signed,

I believed you until you mentioned Morgan Fairchild. :)

they are ready...

If they can run 6 or 7 racks consistently, they must be the pros, because that is what the pros do, they just put you in the chair and they go by their own business.

Yes, I respect honesty. Usually I take poolplayers words with a touch of common sense and doubt. Have heard so many BS stories...

Umm, just recently started playing the ghost. Last session was only 10 racks but ended up 5-5, missed twice, scratched twice (once from the nine and once from a thin cross bank to middle) and once scratched from the break. Usually when I play the ghost, I win 60%-70% of the racks, never lost to a ghost. Record run is 7 racks. Based on peoples records here, I think they would beat the ghost 20-2 in a race to 20. No BS here :)

The thing is you asked for personal bests. My good friend and world class pool player, Ilona Bernhardt, used to tell me that people generally think they are as good as their best day. I suspect that there are tens of thousands of us at just below shortstop level who have had the five rack moments when we played over our heads.

If I could run five racks consistently then my personal best would be something like eight racks of nine ball. I ran five racks twice in my life, once I lost and once I won. Since then I have blown more easy runouts than a two year old.
