I like blackjacks posts and on the whole, the EW fiasco has nothing to do with him. He posted what he thought and at the time he or anyone else had no reason to think otherwise. Its not BJs fault that EW decided to screw everyone that CHOOSE to do business with him. You made the choice to do business with him and it sucks that he screwed you but its not BJS fault at all. Youre coming off as a complete asshole by blaming your situation on a well respected poster. JMHO

I wouldnt hound them, its not their fault either. But if I were one of them and my name was on his website with all this going on, I would want to know about it.

That is assuming they are real people, I have been out of pool for a while and dont know any of their names.

I do hope people continue to speak of custom cue makers they meet without fear of being blamed. Without word of mouth, there really wouldn't be a known field.

Blackjack is one of the best posters here on AZ!! Period!

He is always helping people out and speaking good of everyone. The "SAFE" route is to just dog on everyone and then you will never feel responsible for anything.

I have read SO many ugly posts from APA7 I lost count. I can't remember ONE from Blackjack.

You are kidding, right? That is one of the most ignorant remarks I have seen on this site, and that is saying something. Just because he gave a review doesn't mean he influenced you to do anything. I like to drive Lotus's. Now are you going to buy one just based on that? BlackJack is a valued poster here, and for some weird reason, you are implicating him in something he has NO PART OF. I don't blame you for being pissed with EW, but don't try and jump on the innocent..........

Like someone said previously he was giving a review and not a guarantee. EW is a grown man and Dave is not his babysitter holding his handing while urging him to make the cues he is supposed to be making.

Put the blame where it belongs and not on the person who isn't making the cues......by that I mean BJ. Figured I would edit this a little because some might think I meant Eddie since neither are making Eddie Wheat cues at the moment.

You need to grow up and take responsibility for your actions.

Blackjack is a respected poster who goes out of his way to help people and you are a hater and a whiner.

You ordered a cue despite Wheat's obvious unstable personality. Now you have to llive with the results of YOUR decision. Life is tough and then you die.

Last year I visited Eddie Wheat's shop with Remy. Eddie made a good impression upon both of us that day. Remy ordered a cue from Eddie, I wrote a review of my visit to Eddie's shop.

As a result of my review, some of you ordered cues from Eddie Wheat. Here we are several months later, and a lot of people have not received the cues that they have ordered. A lot of people have no communication with Eddie, and they are upset.

I realize that people are frustrated with this situation. I realize that when you order a product from somebody, you expect that the product will be delivered as promised.

Since these problems become public, I have personally gone to Eddie's home to speak with him about these issues. Eddie assured me that he would complete the orders as soon as possible. That was back in December. I have not spoken to Eddie since then.

I feel terrible that this situation has turned out like this. I went to Eddie's home last May to check out his shop and I gave an honest review of what I saw that day. I did not look into my crystal ball and see this mess being the result.

Eddie is a grown man. It is his business and his responsibility to complete the orders for his customers.

I never ordered a cue from Eddie, nor did I receive anything in return for writing that review. I have heard rumors that I was given a cue - that is 100% bullshitt, and the person that started and spread that rumor is a liar - I will deal with that on my own. The rest of this mess is Eddie's, and I have no power to change this situation at all for anybody - and I have tried.

I have been receiving messages from people that are insinuating that I bear some responsibility for this.

I don't.

I don't build cues. I don't defend Eddie Wheat's actions, or his lack of action. It was never my idea to go visit Eddie. I went there because Tony (Remy) asked me if I wanted to go visit Eddie's shop with him. It seemed like something cool to do on a Saturday afternoon, so why not?

When I wrote that review, it was done honestly. It was up to Eddie to show everybody that he was top notch cuebuilder that makes a great product. Eddie dropped the ball on this one. He has to live with the consequences.

I don't care about Sharpies. I don't care about cue maker wars. I don't care how anybody feels about Eddie. That is none of my business and I really don't have time for any of that nonsense.

I believe I have gone out of my way to help some of the people that were waiting on their cues. It seems to me that I have received even more criticism for doing that. This tells me that my intentions (before and after) were interpreted incorrectly, and my help was not appreciated (by some, not all). For that reason, I wash my hands of this entire situation.

If you have issues with Eddie owing you money, take it up with Eddie - not me.

Eddie, I know you read this forum. All I have to say is that there are many people out there that sent you money for a product. You have the choice to either refund their money or complete their cue orders (if they still want it). Either way, you owe a lot of apologies, and you owe a lot of money to a lot of people. Do the right thing, or the consequences of not doing the right thing are going to bite you in the asss.

How you could be held responsible for someone else's actions is the most ridiculous source of blame. There are many, many more who hold you at a higher esteem than that!
