when is it time to complain on this sales forum

A vendor told me to send the $380 for a purchase and he would check for it Saturday. I sent it Friday night. Despite a couple messages i haven't heard a thing from the Vendor. I asked that he confirm the purchase. Still nothing. It's now Tuesday morning.

What is the appropriate timeline on this forum for annoyance, being pissed and then serious namedropping?

Damn sure not this short of time! Unless you sent it via Express or Priority Mail, or the guy's in your town, five days to a week is pretty standard right now. I've shipped cues for over ten years and have never seen the Post Office as screwed up as it is currently. They are working with skeleton crews in lots of areas and you're lucky if you get Priority Mail in a week. I recently ordered two identical items from a seller on Ebay. He sent them both Priority two days apart. One got here in two days and the other took twelve!

It's frustrating to wait for a cue, but this is a little too early to be upset with the seller...

Good luck!

Steve

P.S. You didn't mention how you sent the payment, but if you sent it via Paypal, he should have gotten back to you by now, but sometimes vendors will wait until your payment clears. It's a shame, but there's so much fraud going on in this economy that you sure can't blame them...

Yes i paid by paypal. I didn't say i should have the merchandize yet. I asked for a confirmation of the transaction or at least notification they received my money. I haven't got either.

A notification that payment has been received isn't asking too much, for sure. Sometimes things just come up, but, they should at least touch base with you...

Things happen....I'd say a week is more than enough time if they promised you confirmation by Saturday......something may have happened, give them a few days IMHO....

Hard question. How was the money Sent?

How far did it have to go, Coast to Coast.

I have seen Mail AZ to NYC take 3 - 7 days.

it is real simple. both the vendor and buyer needs to do what they said they would do. if he said he would check on it then you should have gotten a reply at the time he said he would. same for the buyer they need to do what they say at the time they said they would.

there is no excuse for not replying on time or at least real close to the time.
that IS CALLED KEEPING YOUR WORD.

I had a situation not long ago (not with an AZ'er) where I sent PayPal. But he didn't ship until the money was safely in his bank account. Apparently he requested a transfer from PayPal to his bank account almost immediately and it took 3-4 days for them to get around to it.

My 2 cents
