Where do you get your retail cues?

Do you have a wholesaler or distributor you work with for good deals on 2-piece cues for resale? I looked into Alibaba for imports from China and Taiwan, but I can't seem to get replies from anybody. The names of namebrand cue suppliers are appreciated, but I am most interested in cheaper no-name cues that have nice designs but aren't complete junk (for the teenie-boppers). Thank you very much for your help!

Join the BCA and you will have plenty of resources of wholesale manufacturers. Just supply your tax number and resale number. Plenty of places in China looking to sell cues.

Check out the Players Cue line from Cue & Case - http://www.cueandcase.com/

Hooking up with the Far East is fine if you intend to be a wholesaler and
prepared to buy large quantities of no-name cheapies. You're better served dealing
with a company like Cue & Case that backs its products if you plan to retail locally.

Well not to hate on anyone but the best place to purchase merchandise is always directly from the manufacturer.. or even better yet, make a compareable product.. Lots of resources, you just gotta know how to look.. Ill give you an example. customcuesandtips.com

check out there blanks.. Look familiar?

I've always used CueStix. They have a good buyback policy where if you have slow movers, they will actually buy back cues (new), then you can order something that might sell better. Their customer service, and sales team's knowledge is awesome.

I've also done business in the past with Cue and Case, as Dartman mentioned. Imperial or SportsFan are good for College Licensed products.

Of course if you have the budget and plan to keep enough inventory to support the minimum order requirements, you can go through each individual manufacturer. I just felt it was simpler to keep fewer accounts to save on shipping.

there is always Sterling Gaming out of Charlotte,

great package deals on the cues, and the guys there are real friendly too

Omega Billiards is great, Michael who posts here owns it and is a friend of mine, and I great guy to do biz with, he is more than fair with his prices and has great customer support. Look him up you'll like him, he treats his customers like family not a number.

Very good advice Dartman.
Cue and Case from St. Augustine Florida, Great cues for all levels of players. The also sell cases, barstool, balls you name it. Very rarely a problem and if there is one the company corrects it immediately. They also buy back if their cues haven't sold in a year.

The margins on his knock-off SouthWests are great
and they're also at a great retail price point at MSRP.

Cue sticks

Try Hampton Ridge Billiards. I bought from them for 5 years, never had a problem with them ,sell cheap cues that you can make a little money on?

Buy directly from the distributer of the product that is where you will get your best price. Do not buy Knock off products, it is not fair to the original maker, and it only support unscrupulous people who can not think for themselves. In addition stay away from imported products unless they have a full warranty, if you want to save yourself some headaches. The only way to stay in business is to support your customers, and that will include replacing products that do not stay straight very long.

Last if you are an American and truly care about your countries future in the global economy buy as many Americans products as possible in todays market. You will have less trouble long term, warranty issues are resolved very quickly and you can offer your customers a product that is equal to and in most cases better than the imports coming into this country.

Just my opinion and my business practices, I have been involved in this business for 5 years today, and my Pool Hall, Retail Store and Cue Making / Cue Repair / Pro-shop business have only grown even in this market.

Take care and good luck
