Where does Chezka fit in with men and other world-leading women?

they're washed up but jeanete lee isn't? lmfao

neither lee nor any woman of her era , or what i refer to as the Mitch Lawrence era could touch the holy trinity

Jeanatte and Eva were the marketing darlings of their time but could not play world class pool and would have drowned in asia nevermind getting stomped by the british invasion

ga ya kim was poised to get there, she still might, but still a ways to go, some of the chinese gals at the moment and chezka are the next gen, I wish em the best and believe they should be competing alot more in mens events as most womens events are a joke

For those of you who think Jeanette is somehow less of a pool player than other women, let me say this. As much as I admire the skills of the new breed of lady players, NONE of them would have a ghost of a chance playing a challenge match with Jeanette if One Pocket, Banks and Straight Pool were in the mix. Heaven forbid any of them tried to gamble with her. She would own Asia if that were to happen! :thumbup2:

IMO Jeanette Lee is the best all around woman player I've ever seen. Vivian is probably second, lacking Jeanette's Straight Pool skills.

I'd like to see Jeanette Lee get a little more respect also.
Jeanette won the Louis Roberts Award at the DCC.
...the only other woman that could've won that is lori Shampo in her day.

Jeanette has a lotta gamble....even with her health problems.

How about Jasmin Ouschan vs Jeanette match-up? 1P,banks and 14-1 would be VERY close I guess. While Jeanette would most likely kill Jasmin in 1P I think Jasmin would beat Jeanette in 14-1 (I know that Jeanette is very good 14-1 player but Jasmin is just 14-1 beast). And banks - that would be decider and I wouldnt bet my money on this as it may go both ways - while Jeanette has more knowledge than Jasmin, Jasmin has more firepower which would help on longer banks so this one would be closest I think. And if you add 9b in the mix then it would be Jasmin all the way. ;)

I'll put my money on Jeanette against any woman playing an all around match including Jasmin, who I also greatly admire. Now wouldn't that be something worth watching online. I'd like to see one of these streamers put together a match like that, for something a little different.

I would watch that! Two beautiful women playing excellent pool - what more could I ask for?

I find any rating system that has 19 Filipinos in the top 100 and only 3 from 101-208 inherently flawed...law of averages.

I can only think of two top Filipina players in the RP, Rubilen & Chezka. Both Tom-Boys.

Are there no "Girly" female players in the RP that can compete?

Remember, this is the list of top ESTABLISHED players, which means their ratings are based on at least 200 games in FargoRate. The top players who tend to travel will have plenty of games. But there are no doubt players in the Filipines and elsewhere who would be on this list if they had enough games in.

Here are some Filipino players who tentatively play at the level of people on this list but who have fewer than 200 games. These players are in our system and have ratings; they just are not yet established.

We do a better job in North America and Europe in being comprehensive at this level that we do in Asia right now. More data makes stronger, and we are getting better, month by month, everywhere.

My guess is that the issue is one of data availability. The top-rated Pinoys are also the ones who play in the US, Europe, Asia or in publicized challenge matches against rated players - and these matches get into the system.

I'm sure there are more great players that either have no data in the system or not enough data to be reliable. This can apply to other places as well, but I think the lack of reported tournaments from PI makes it more pronounced there.

I'm sure Mike Page can clarify.

It's probably a good thing Chezka isn't "girly" ...from a legal standpoint. Check out her matches in the Atlantic juniors cup or whatever it's called on YouTube.

I wouldn't lump Jeanette with Alison , Kelly and Karen
Jeanette is the most popular of them all and a great ambassador but her skill is way below those 3

Jeanette Lee has not and never will be anywhere near the level of Corr or Fisher. She's barely a AA.

She came into town and couldn't beat the tope half dozen guys in the local room.

Most on here have only seen Lee in tournaments. Long before she moved down here in FL, she would make a dozen or so trips down here (FL) and NY just to gamble...big money. She played almost 2 balls better gambling than she did in tournaments. She is a killer gambling...and very rarely in a bad game.

I wanted to play her 9 ball on a BB while she was down here, she would only play for $1000's. I never used a banker, so I couldn't play her. Johnnyt

JLs combined record against AF and KC in our database is 23 wins 36 losses.

The record predicted from their ratings is 26 wins and 33 losses

Andam probably won't be playing any more games since he is deceased. It's David Renemar, not the other way around. Anton Raga is the best of this group, close to a Tier One player in the Philippines now.

But there are no doubt players in the Filipines...
You did not just type this.

Don't worry, Mike, even with this gaffe you're still one of the smartest guys in this forum in my book. (But your rating JSP rating did go down a few points after that last post.)
