Where is smokey? Banned? By who and why?

I got into with Smokey on more than one occasion. I think the guy really does love AZ and gets a little carried away with defending the people here when he feels something is unjust. I hope with a little guidance from the mods he could stay between the lines.

I say if people who have been banned are allowed back under different user names, then a guy who respected his ban should be given a shot. Just my .02
 
i think the reason was that he flipped out once and they warned him not to attack forum members. but then he flipped out again and trashed jay helfert and maybe fatboy? that thread got deleted pretty quick so i couldnt keep track of it. but apparently he was warned before and did it again so they perma banned him. right or wrong that was what happened.

First of all he was Banned permently for making some threats in the heat of anger. Next he is not interested in being reinstated to this board, I talk to him weekly, in fact I talked with him yesterday. He regrets what he did and what he said but, it is over and done.

If you what to contact him send me your email address through PM and I will pass on to him.

I didnt read the thread, and have no idea what was said, but Smokey did Pm me a couple times, a Great guy, and If Im ever in his area I told him Id come visit, and I meant it...

Smokey has friends that want him back and that's cool but there has to be a line drawn somewhere and man.... he was WAY over the line. As I remember, he kept it up after he was warned.

I have no opinion as to whether he should be allowed back or not. Makes no difference to me but.... I would understand it if he were not allowed back. There does have to be standards and lines drawn and again... he was way over any reasonable line for a civil forum. Either way.. it's a drag.
 
All I am saying is that SMOKEY is really a nice guy that does have pool culture. Would probably be a good idea for some of the AZ moderators to actually have a quick chat with him. One of these days I might go off on somebody as well... You never know... But people are not perfect and they deserve a second chance. I think the good that Miles did to the forum and his positiveness is far off greater than some bad things he might have said. That is all.
I am trying to look on the good side of things not on the bad one.
 
and all started from the 2 Southwest cues he wanted badlly...pittyfull situation for a great guy... i see no account of smokey so i guess this is permanent... oh well
 
See... That is the type of stuff I am talking about. Probably he was on a bad day or had an extra couple of beers, who knows...

thats why they gave him a warning first but he kept doing it so they banned him. i have no opinion as to whether he should be reinstated or not as i only spoke to him twice and i dont know what he said exactly but if he screwed up once and they gave him a second chance with a warning that he chose to ignore then the permanent ban was inevitable. it'd be hard for mods to warn him and not do anything when he ignores that warning and flips out on someone...especially since most of the forum knew the situation. if they unban him now it would set a bad precedent as they're basically saying that he ignored their warnings twice and still got reinstated. this is probably why they wont unban him regardless of how many people want him back.
 
not to mention he got totally shafted on that 2 SW cue deal and then they rubbed salt in the wound by trying to sell them back to him at an inflated price.
