Yea...I know what you are thinking......What I am looking for is a place online to get some exotic wood...who has the best prices? I bought some wood last night but looking for a resource to get more when the time arrives...thanks in advance guys....

How much are you looking to buy? Eisenbrand, gilmer, bell forest generally have some good pieces. If you are looking to spend upwards of $5000 at a time there are some dealers who will give a fairly nice price break.

You need to always get Kiln Dried wood in 95% of the species. Many only offer Air Dried wood in a lot of the exotics. Try my site for Kiln dried higher quality cue grade woods. Not the best prices out there, but in small volume for the quality of the wood it is not bad either.

James Griffin's Exotic Woods Site

Another source after Chris H. 's Site -
The link for James Griffin's site.. I buy wood from him often. James gives me great customer service!!!! Especially when I tell him what I'm looking for.. like finding the right shade or grain pattern closest to a cue's photo I e-mail him of a customer's cue.. Tight grain or figure for the small space I have to display the wood in my caps.. Stuff like that. + He will ship USPS PRIORITY MAIL FLAT RATE BOX... That really helps to save money!!!

Flat rate box isn't going to work for the rest of us ;) , but he is a good source.

Thanks guys...all your help is truly appreciated...I got alot of exotic wood last night and I think it will work...I just want to have another resource to go to after this wood is gone...I am going to buy a DVD set that Chris Hightower makes so I can learn to make cues...I have the knowledge...patience and shop to do it in finally... I work at the Veterans Administration office as a Veterans Counselor and I have quite a bit of time off now that I have a job like this... SO I am going to go full throttle and do the best I can do...I just want to make quality cues...always have wanted to..just never had the money to do something like this...there is another thread that has a few pics of the shop I had built and some of the machinery I have bought...I will get more pictures up soon....thanks for all your help guys.....Shawn

Don't settle on one supplier. Not all have equal quality wood & not all have equal prices. Shop around.

Mr H

It's true that most of what we order won't fit into USPS flat rate box but on Internet orders they ship any amount of wood for a total of 9.70 UPS ground. I've placed wood orders where the shipping was over a hundred on a number of occasions. I like it!! By the way, you'll notice that I only used 2 exclamation points, not 3.
