Where to play in Greensboro

hey rick give me a call man. i cant believe what you said about coliseums crowd.we both know that eddie runs a tight ship and would never allow that type of people in his billiard parlor.im gonna let him know that you were giving his fine estlablishment a bad name. im sure you will hear from him real soon. matt i used to be a regular at breaktime years ago myself and i would be willing to come over and play some if youre interested but it would have to be on table 5 only. the rest of the table pockets are as big as five gallon buckets and i couldnt handle watching you run racks my nerves couldnt handle it. im not calling you out just looking for some friendly action. i know all of the regulars and i am good friends with rick s. he is my hero.i just visited him in az a few months ago. if youre interested just reply on here if nothing else i will atleast stop by and introduce myself and say hello to everyone.

Coliseum Billiards had a bad name way before I made it to GB....Do you remember when Big Scott got held up in the parking lot? They made him take off running across the street...that's one I wished I could have seen!

Yeah....It's just a little 'rough'.

Here's a pic from last night at Breakers before everyone became annialated by jager, tequilla and god only knows what other wicked concoctions whipped up by Tonya! It got very busy as the night evolved and I have more shots, with more people, after more shots, if anyone wants any, drop me a line.

Breaktime was the name of the now Breaker's at Quaker Village/Guilford College in Greensboro, NC.. Breaktime was the home of Earl "The Pearl" Strickland and table#5 was shimmed expressly for him to practice on. He was there a few years before divorcing and moving 30 miles away to Winston-Salem, NC.. By the way, when Earl recently came back to GSO, he practiced at Colisium Billiards, but has recently been practicing at Shooter's in Greensboro, NC.

truck i am trying to get b2g1 to come to texas for the open but he has a problem with half stroking the ball into the rail. heck maybe i can get him down here one time to be one of my corner men for this 1 on 1 challenge. who knows what he will do, all i know is he is probably looking at the erasers on the chalk board right now thinking of a plan.

I missed that first time... Fine, you get the "orange", I get the breaks and the wild 1. :smile: Hopefully you can get Friday afternoon off and match up at 4. I can play 'til @ 7:30ish before snagging some mex chow with my gf. If you can't get out tomorrow afternoon, we'll figure out plan B over the weekend.

BTW, I need a voucher of your speed back2good1! Anyone knocking Carlos? I'm a 4... 4 star liar!

I have played on table #5. It is definitely super tight! I used to go to breaktime when Big Brad was the cueman. Til he passed with cancer...He was Earl's good friend. I can't believe tonya is still running that place. It has been a long time since i was there...They have always had a good crowd of folks there...

I lived there for 6 years. I have some great friends there..Check out Breaker's on Friendly Ave in the afternoon's. Usually a good ring game, or Scotch Dbl's going on. Especially on Mondays!! 3:30 or so till 7-7:30

They play cheap...it's a lot of fun with some great guys playing. Tell them I sent you....Most of them are 8 speed. Tony, Andy, Steve, Rick, and John will probably all be there.

If you are bored, and brave...head down to Coliseum Billiards. (Florida Ave. just off Hight Point Rd.) It's a rough place....It's Earl's hangout. You'll probably find him in there most of the time. Eddie G. is the owner, and quite a character!!

Please tell them all I said hello!!!
