Golden Fleece is a "pure" pool hall. They have 10 (or so) 9' diamond tables and a bunch of 7' diamonds in the back room. This is my favorite pool hall.

If you are in seattle (fleece is a little out of the way) you have a couple other options. Temple Billiards, Garage and Julians. Julians has a nice 12' snooker table and if you go in during the weekday afternoon you can usually snag it. Last time I went in they gave free pool time for having lunch during a weekday (that was a couple years ago so I can't be sure that they still offer that).

Shoot me a PM if you are interested in matching up.

Or if you want to experience a 5 million dollar pool hall Parlor Billiards in Bellevue. Best looking wait staff and gold crown 4s but rates are twice as much and no action.

You can get lessons from Dan Louie there though.

Parlor is nice if you are friends with one of the vixens. They get free table time

PP - If you don't mind driving north of Seattle on I-5 for about 30 miles, I live in Marysville (very close to the freeway) and have a 9' Diamond in my garage. You could come up and hit some balls with me some evening.

Let me know.

How come theres no action.? I played Harry at the Fleece and I miss the upstairs room that was once there. The Golden Fleece reminds me of someone who cannot make up their mind. Is it a pool room or a table supply house? I go to PA quite often and there is one good table and the house man plays pretty good. I play him almost every time I have time. Plus playing him, he doesn't charge me for food. His place is the Red chinese restaurant/bar on One as you come into PA before the split. I heard there was a new room close to Silverdale. Any chance you could make money with a place in PT?:D:smile:

The bike against what? I have a nice Caddy.

Recommend the Golden Fleece in Bothell, just north of Seattle - about 20 minutes without traffic if you're staying in downtown Seattle area. This has become the players place in the past few years, has one of the best owners in the country.

recently they also added Diamond lights over their tables. If you wish to see more about the room, Rail to Rail Productions frequently streams from there. The Fleece is known for supporting the Pacific Northwest pool scene. http://www.rail2rail.tv/

Also check out The Break magazine, it is the regional magazine for the west coast and heavily distributed in the Seattle area. You will find a calendar of weekly and monthly tournaments in the area. Go to http://www.onthebreaknews.com/TheBreak.htm

Have fun!

Does he charge by the hour? That could get expensive if he starts showing you some shots...

/ducks

Dan Louie charged me $60 per hour and gave by far the best lessons ever.

Someone asked why no action at Parlor Billiards and it's because the rates are so high.

"Pool is a beautiful game played by beautiful people at The Parlor"

About a half hour or so from Seattle is Tacoma. There you can try Malarkey's where you can possibly find some action. From time to time you'll see some good 1-pocket being played in the back.

Enjoy.

south

If you like tourneys or action it might be worth while to head south on I-5 to Tacoma.Malarkey's has 3 tourneys a week and good action at least on tourney days. This weekend there is a saturday/sunday 10 ball tournament and all the big shots will be there.
