Where to stay in vegas? where to fly into?

Last time I was in Vegas, stayed at Circus Circus, $39 bucks a night.

Flew into PHX and visited the Grand Canyon, and the Hoover Dam.
5 hour drive.

If flights to Vegas are high Phoenix is not a bad drive during the daytime, plus it is a great visual.:cool::cool::cool: Wear Sunglasses.

Flights are cheaper into Phoenix and the money saved covers your rental car, unless you did not plan on having a car.??

When i was out there regularly

When i flew to Vegas regularly, 7-8 years ago or so, you could get a one month pass for the CAT bus system for $30. Can get just about anywhere with that. Car rentals are real cheap though. Motel 6 was a decent choice for a cheap sleep. I stayed at the one on Boulder Hwy and the one by Industrial Blvd often when the need arose. Never a problem.

south point is nice and pretty new,big rooms,its quite a ways down the strip,some of my friends have a place at tahiti village out by south point,sometimes you can get great deals there if you want to stay further out and drive,cars are reasonable to rent most times in vegas
 
Cheapest without ground transport is the Circus Circus. If you have a car you may save a few bucks a night if you hunt. I stayed at Circus Circus once and said never again.

I guess I am getting old but no matter what event I go to I try and stay at the host venue if it is attached to the tournament area. So much nicer to just go upstairs when you feel like it.

A true baller doesnt worry about hotels and minor inconveniences though. Just show up and sleep where you can, shower in friends rooms, live the stereotype. You will be miserable but it is cheap.

I used to drive a Fiat (Bertone X19) and also had a Honda CRX in my life. Aren't those comparable to a Lambo?

You and a CRX. You shouldn't have said that man. I know what you are gonna be doing in the next Disco photoshop.

And no. When I think of a Lambo and its ergonomic layout the CRX and Fiat are not what come to mind. But then the Lambo's I have seen up close I just looked inside and laughed. The term 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag pretty much sums it up in my case. But you are much more svelte than I so maybe you would fit just fine.
 
That CRX was hot - it even had louvers on the rear window.

Fatboy - just bring the Lambo to the airport. Flight gets in @ 8PM on Thursday the 13th. Don't worry about me fitting in it, I'll be fine.
