I am in the market for a new cue and I would like people's opinions on the one they like out of the 3 I have narrowed it down to, below are pictures of each to vote on.

I've always been a fan of nice exotic wood grain and traditional inlays.

But seeing as you aren't me, perhaps you should just pick whichever one you prefer? I mean, after all it's your cue. Why care what anyone else thinks?

Also, performance should be a major consideration...mainly in respect to the shaft. I'm not all that familiar with Scorpion cues. Do they have various shaft options and upgrades?

i voted for number 3 because im not into inlays or a design found in a pharoahs tomb, but its all up to you anyway, i dont know if scorpion has dealers in your area that can let you try some demo cues call em up and see, that would be your best chance at finding the best cue for you.

I like #3. Which ever one you get let us know how it plays for you. Johnnyt

Keep the votes coming guys its helping me narrow it down, btw pool player 2093 I only picked scorpion as a mate of mine had a scorpion, mcdermott and a szamboti with him and let me try each of them and after playing with each of them I just fell in love with stiff hit of the scorpion.

Also the fact that it plays much better than the no name peice of crap i'm playing with at the minute which has a whippy action when playing and I HATE IT!.

i prefer one.....i used to have a scorpion break cue.....hit like a ton of bricks...would match your player pretty nicely too seeing as it was all black

now that's some collection

A Scorpion, McDermott, and a Szamboti? you're kidding me right? and you settled on the Scorpion?

Actually, I have heard that the Scorpion's play pretty darn good. that list just struck me a little funny

you going to let us know which way you're leaning on this one? i forgot to ask what type of joints do these cues offer? if it's a common 5/16-14 it would make it easier to try aftermarket shafts (if that'd interest you at all)

scorpion,mcdermott, and a szamboti? man that's a wide spectrum he's working with.

i hope you end up liking which ever one you get

Poolplayer 2093 I am leaning towards no 2 but who that could all change but at the minute that's the front runner.

In answer to yourself ugotaction TX as I said in a previous post it was what he had with him at the time and I liked the stiff hit the scorpion gave me compared to what I'm using now.

P.S

Poolplayer 2039 the joints they offer are 3/8X14 if that helps.

That's kind of an uncommon pin. if you did ever want to try an after market shaft (ob1,314,wd700..........) you might have to have it fitted by a cuemaker.

that's just alittle food for thought. if you're not interested in those things i wouldn't sweat the unusual pin at all. i did actually play with a scorpion a few years ago and i think you might want to look into tips as well. i think the stock tip was a little too hard

What type of tip would you suggest poolplayer, feel free to list more that one as I have only ever played with water buffalo tips on my playing cue I have at the moment.

you know i'm a little in between tips right now. i used to play with moori tips but they kind of let the quality slip. they're still ok though and i'm going try a couple more.i got some tips from ross that i really liked. you can get some from manwon, he said he knows the supplier from a while ago.

i hear alot of good things about kamui. i had one that i liked and one i didn't

i'm a huge fan of talisman mediums! box of 3 is like 25usd or something like that and they throw in a free jump break tip and a towel. they're easy to install too. i do my own, just make sure your razor is sharp.

i'd go with talisman or the tips form manwon
