I just posted on WTS section looking for some good training DVDs, then I realized I've not idea what's good out there.

I play 9 and 8 ball so I don't need any one pocket or straight pool tutorials.

Can any of you guys recommend me something and introduce why you think it's good?

Thanks!

It's depends on your experience level

I'm probably a C+, won't know how to rate myself cos we don't have that system here in Asia. Not entirely sure what's the definition of C+ or B to begin with. Definitely not an A but can run a rack when table's open. Really open. Really really open.

Robert Byrnes dvd 1,2,5. Jerry Breiseth dvd set. All good stuff. The dvd set ( if still available) by RandyG and Scott Lee. All of these will keep you busy for a long time. Also, the dvd set by Dr Dave, there are two sets.

Hi Jive

CTE/Pro One will take the pressures of aiming away. Gives you objective visuals to take you to the shot picture and ultimately connects with the geometry of the table. Allows you to focus more on stroke and cue ball control. Gives you a routine that will increase your objectivity, consistency, and overall confidence. Learn a professional way of aiming. www.justcueit.com for DVD promo. GL.

Bert Kinister 60 Minute Workout for 8-Ball and 9-Ball. Buddy Hall's Clock System. Grady Matthews Only Kicks. The Monk 202 Foundation for Kicking and Banking. Jimmy Reed No Time for Negative. Anything by Dr. Dave

There are a lot of good suggestions here already. Something I feel you should consider is to video tape your own game. Then take the time to analyze what you miss, why you play the patterns you do and how they work out. You can learn many things about your game by watching it with a critical eye. Take notes and review. You will see where your strategy breaks down and what shots you need to work on whether it be pocketing or playing position from one shot to another.

You can never go wrong with a DVD that specializes in strong fundamentals.

There is no substitute for experience....

No doubt about that, but I can't learn what I don't know so I'm trying to increase my knowledge through these tutorials and hopefully also correct some wrongs that I might have.

Hehe John tried talking me into this, thought me some but I think I'm too dumb/stubborn for this system.

For an extra $20 I'll throw in this set. I bought it on ebay from thias exact add for $22.99 after shipping and only watched it once also.

Brutal. Piracy has robbed me of a decent living. First Venom Trickshots, and now this. Awesome.[/QUOTE]

Is that a pirated version he's offering or? Just trying to find out as I might be purchasing and if it is I'll not even consider.

Thanks for all the Infos guys. I'm definitely up for more recommendations. Thanks!
