Steel joint = harder hit less feedback
3x810 and Radial = close to the same I find unless one pin
is steel and one brass.
Uniloc= never had an issue ever with this joint but again less feel if
its a steel joint but have seen some uniloc joints on Phenolic
by Paul Drexler and get great reviews.
Most 5x1614 joints are common and reliable,
Most 5x1618 joints were fantastic many moons ago
but now mostly affiliated with low end cues.
On a side note, for me I'd stay the heck away from G-10 material unless you get
a Cog. These pins are real odd and tear the living heck on your shaft threads unless
its machined to perfection.
I've had a couple cues with this pin and when put together they never felt
like it was tight tight and got an aftermarket shaft to go on one and it
was just awful when screwing it together. A few big cuemakers on this forum do
not like these pins as well.
Do some research before you buy.Goodluck
